Re: Do you sort your browser bookmarks?

Even if I could see, I couldn't imagine the Bookmarks Toolbar not being limited to the point of uselessness. Anyways, my Bookmarks menu contains the following folders: Forums: contains bookmarks to the index pages of forums I frequent. Literature: Contains bookmarks to the latest chapter of in-progr...

Re: The true maximum Stats a Chao can have.

Hmm, I wonder... 30 * 98 = 2940 2940/10 = 294 294 + 2940 = 3234 3234/10 = 323 323 + 2940 = 3263 3263/10 = 326 326 + 2940 = 3266 So the loss of that +30 from a newborn All-S chao leveling up from level 0 to level 1 doesn't hurt its ultimate potential and even without doing that math, its fairly obvio...

Re: Popularity of Chao in Other Places

They occasionally get a mention in the SADX and SA2B general hacking threads on Sonic Retro, but they're usually brief and often mention them in a purely technical sense and often as a small aspect of some larger mod. Other than that, Sonic in general seldom gets mentioned on the parts of the Intern...

Re: Pokémon movies.

I never saw any of the movies in theatres, but I owned the first three movies on VHS back in the day and movies 3, 4, and 6 on DVD. Beyond those, I think the Lucario Movie is the only one I've come close to seeing from beginning to end.

Re: Which special stage was the easiest?

Considering S3K is the only classic game I actually 100%, I'd give it the award for easiest special stages. Then again, that might just be because its the easiest to access special stages in and the special stages are accessible from level select, so practice is easy. Sonic 1's special stages are th...

The Troll from Zork I. Considering that it can be defeated with a few amateurish sword strikes and a bit of luck, or just by offering it a dirty knife, I'm probably safe.

Some things I dislike: plain white rice Most cooked vegetables(notable exceptions being sweet peas and whole kernel or on the cob sweet corn and veggies on a pizza) Most kinds of pork. Excessively salty foods. Creamy Peanut butter(I need that crunch of actual bits of peanut) Most non-vinegarette sal...

Because devs reuse assets all the time and have reduced incentive to tweak the reused assets for games with near concurrent releases. Still, the idea that Infinite is a corrupt alternate timeline/dimension/universe/etc. Sonic doesn't seem too farfetched. It's a bit cliched, but I don't think Sega ha...

Re: Do you share any birthdays with vidya characters?

Did some googling and came across a anime character wiki with lists of characters by birthdays, but didn't recognize any of the names and the only series I've even heard of bing Clannad and Angelic Layer. Consulted the Harry Potter Wiki's page on October and the closest match there is that Fitwick's...

Re: Do you share any birthdays with vidya characters?

In my experience, Googling list of [Game title] characters will usually bring up a game's character list on Wikipedia or a wiki dedicated to that game specifically. Also, my experience is that googling [character name] [series name] wiki will return a profile article on a specific character from a w...

I have communistic leanings, but this thread does more to confuse me than infuriate me. Anyways: Contrary to what Nano says, I'd argue that Democracy, as a decision making process, and communism, as an economic policy, would marry quite nicely. After all, in their purest forms, they are the sharing ...

Re: The Real Sonic 4

Honestly, it's probably easier to assume the Sonic games have negative continuity or that Sega just doesn't care about continuity with the Sonic franchise(and similar can probably be said for most platformers that last more than a trilogy or have stories more complex than an excuse plot). Not that i...

Re: Staring at breasts is good for you. Remastered Edition.

I'm pretty sure a scientific paper needs peer review to make it into any reputable journal. The bigger problem is that so many papers are either based on very small sample sizes, aren't sufficiently blinded, or fail to replicate. And yeah, popular science journalism has a bad habit of distorting wha...

That reminds me of another head canon of mine for Harry Potter: Wanded magic, as taught at Hogwarts is the dominant magical tradition in the British Isles and throughout most of Europe, but it isn't the only magical tradition. Other traditions aren't more than hinted at in the books because either t...

I find your view on Teen Titans quite convincing. A few of my own: Harry Potter: Tom Marvolo Riddle wasn't a true believer in blood purity, nor truly evil. Insanity induced by the creation of his first Horcrux and worsened by the creation of more lead to him favoring bloody revolution over relativel...

Re: Cringe Discussion/Is it right to laugh at embarrassing people?

This thread is the first time I've ever heard of cringe culture. I'm assuming it's another of those things one can avoid in its entirety by just steering clear of mainstream social media and it's tendency to bring out the worst in people.
