For SA: battle if I want a neutral chao I use Tails and Shadow mostly.
Hero chao--I use Tails and at times Sonic or Knuckles.
Dark: Shadow

As for SA DX: I use Sonic a lot but sometimes the others except Gamma and Big mainly because I want to see my chao draw other characters other then Sonic.
