Re: The Animation General
I'm a loser who is watching old dubbed anime because my fascination is with how animation can be repurposed or poorly adapted to other cultures. Also sometimes I just like older animation, because sometimes the limited nature is cool and there can be really impressive pieces from way too far back. -...

Re: Is there a way to get a flame on a Chao's head in SADX?
SADX uses a modified version of the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Chao Garden, and we've had plenty of people on this site dig through the game's textures since the original PC release. The animals from Sonic Adventure 2 were removed, as well as the parts they cause, and the animals and parts from the or...

Actually I do wonder if losing net neutrality will impact the practicality of speed test sites? I know that many service providers have their own specific speed tests, but what would stop them from adjusting the active speeds or even just lying to you?

Re: In this topic, we describe the ideal woman
Speaking of catgirls, anyone know of any series starring a catgirl who is neither jailbait or really 700 years old? I don't know much about the series, but my immediate thought was Felicia from Darkstalkers. All of those characters look really mature to me, though they could have 90s anime style co...

I'm not one for idealism these days so I'll just make the easy joke instead. Re: Why the death of Chao Island is Triert's fault.
I really hate feeling like I need to do stuff like this, but I just utterly felt the sense of a throw down while catching up. Though it can be mostly ignored since Fox covered the real drop. I'm just cleaning up some loose ends. The Battle of the Discords: (for Triert) Any issues involving the weird...

Not sure if the Empress and Emperor fit Tsui and I, respectively, at least in terms of how heavy gender ties into their roles, but I can see how you'd connect us with some of their other roles.

Re: A quick chao question(sadx)
Keep in mind that whistling is only reliable if the Chao also hasn't had any negative interactions with any other characters. For example, even if my Chao has received plenty of affection from Sonic, if the Chao was repeatedly hurt by Knuckles, the Chao will still respond to Sonic's whistle, but sti...

Re: Black Market Glitch! (Sonic Adventure 2)
I'm glad to hear it also works on 360! It should work fine on all modern versions of the game, I would imagine, but it is nice to hear people actually doing it. I can tell you it wouldn't work on Dreamcast because there isn't a Black Market quite like the one you're used to on later versions. The Dr...

Re: Bubsy isn't dead guys
I think Bubsy is a sign that we can finally stop wafting the nostalgia of 2D platformers and embrace 3D platformers with personality wholeheartedly. Admittedly, though, I think at worst we will get something like Duke Nukem Forever, where it is a cash grab using an outdated character, and at best we...

Re: I want to see Chao Adventure 1 and 2's linkup content.
So I found a chance to record Chao Adventure connecting. https://youtu.be/DZrnZHN1n60 Admittedly, though, I don't think there are any unique sprites involved aside from the loading menu and the egg during mating. Battle seems to behave just like finding a battle in regular gameplay. At least it is o...

I just wanna say that I never even knew this topic ever existed. I used to barely look at anything outside of the Chao boards, so this thread went under my head, and it is both a hoot and reminder of how much has changed over the years, and how many people we really have lost. I feel like I'd have a...

Re: Chao Island nostalgia
Honestly the nostalgia makes me wonder how I had so much free time compared to now. Maybe I was just better at time management. I'm not really sure. Also remember all the people that have come and gone. But that's a different thread. Remember that one time Crazo stole Torro's car? Good times right t...

Re: LGBT+ Thread
I know I'm a bit late to saying it, but I kinda wanted to address Triert's earlier concern about what I'll refer to as an Artificial Trasgender Movement. (For clarity, Artificial meaning that the pursuit is due to popularity or trendiness, and not a genuinely innate sense of one's self.) The reason ...

And no, it doesn't mean the same. If it did you nor Jeff would have referred to them as such. The fact that Jeff and I both chose the term should make it even more obvious that it is just strong phrasing. Jeff is great at sentence structure and grammar. Paralleling the segregation of bathrooms to t...

Re: The trans school bathroom thing again [no fite]
Things aren't going to get worse. This isn't some emotional battle. I'd say "you need to calm down" but it is far more likely you need to slow down. Like your lines are so disjointed it isn't even funny. I'm not using segregated to make any parallels. Would you rather I say divided or split? It mean...

The thread's existing narrative already makes it clear that you edited the post, but your edit barely even changes the context. I'm not editing it, and refusing to do anything until it is edited is silly.
Either continue the discussion or not. It is your move.

So I looked back and tried to reapproach the topic by what Triert focused on, and honestly you're creating your own problem, dude. My issue isn't in letting them in, it's trying to think of how we can make it hard to avoid letting people take advantage of it and avoid using "transphobia" as a defens...

I sincerely doubt all trans people look the way you think they do, that point you made had little to do with the conversation and is only being brought up right now so I can shoot it down in the same breath. Your point on sexual assault, while true, didn't do much to address what was posted. Then p...
