Anyone else like Shadow the Hedgehog?
I played that game when I was a kid and it got a lot of bad reception back then, but I personally liked it. There were flaws in level designs and it had some glitches but the story and boss fights were fun. The only major problem with it if you ask me is that it seems like it was rushed out.

Re: Favourite Sonic era?
This poll might be a little biased since it's on a Chao forum and Chao weren't around until the Adventure era.
My vote...Adventure era.

Re: Happy day- finally playing SA2 on mobile
Meanwhile, my tablet keeps crashing attempting to load its own UI. As far as I was concerned it was only good for playing emulated games that I felt would be better as handheld games. So I never finished playing through the GBC version of Dragon Quest 1. I don't know why it never occurred to me you...

Damn I settled for one Chaos Chao and there are people on here who have ten. Then again I don't like making one unless it's stats are all As or Ss.

Re: Floating eggs?
Does that really make a big difference? PC and GameCube are two very different platforms, we can't expect everything between them to be the same. Also that sounds like an improvement, considering that if you drop the Egg in the water and it floats it would be a pain to grab it rather than if it sink...

So far it runs just as well as it does on my PC. I have a Samsung S7 (aka the exploding battery phone). One thing that surprises me is that it doesn't take up any more battery use than a normal app would.Nano wrote:How well does it handle on your phone? Also, what kind of phone are you using :0

Happy day- finally playing SA2 on mobile
So after thinking about it for a while I finally decided to try using an emulator on my Android phone. I found one for the Dreamcast, installed it, and can now play SA2 on my phone! This is just great. Why SEGA never tried to port the game to Android or at least to the 3DS is beyond me. I've always ...

Chao Project fangame- Chao model/updates
Good news! As some of you probably remember, I've been building a fangame version of the Chao Garden. Since I don't have a name for it yet, I'm calling it The Chao Project. Anyway I have a few updates on the game's progress. Firstly, we now have a logo! http://img02.deviantart.net/a406/i/2017/036/1/...

Re: My chao did the sweetest thing...
Regardless of what people believe, it is really cute! Aww. :herosway: Agreed, it's cute, but it's really not a matter of belief. I love Chao as much as the next guy but there really is no such thing as original behavior for them. Chao can appear unique, there are I think thousands of different ways...

Playing with Chao
Lately I've been thinking about features to add to my Chao Garden fangame to make it stand out a little more and make the gardens more interactive. Aside from feeding them and saving them from drowning there really isn't a whole lot to do in the main game gardens. I thought about this and had the id...

Chao garden fangame- Autumn garden
Hello all, I just began working on the terrain and landscape for a new Chao Garden for the fangame I'm building. I'm planning to add some furnishings to it, but this is what it looks like right now: http://orig08.deviantart.net/56ee/f/2017/022/4/9/chao_garden__the_autum_garden_by_thechaoproject-dawd...

Re: Chao Garden design ideas
The swamp garden sounds kind of cool. The slide should be doable, not sure about the other stuff you suggested. Can you show me a picture of what you mean about "what the GC version left out"? Do you just mean a fusion of all three gardens? Here's a video of the Dreamcast Gardens , I forgot to ment...

Re: Chao Garden design ideas
I wanna see a garden that has what the GC version left out of the hero & dark gardens (the stream & bridge connected to the gazebo & fountain then mountain & cave connected to the cage & pool) all in the style of the neutral garden. I also wanna see a frog forest garden made as a playground for the...

Re: Chao Garden design ideas
The most obvious one you didn't mention is probably the Emerald Alter as seen in The Past in SA1. It's implied to have been the original Chao Garden, so a modern recreation should be a no brainer. Actually I left that one off because I thought it wasn't big enough to be a garden, but looking at a p...

Wow that's cool. Unless you've got a DS, GBA, or an emulator there's no way to access the Tiny Chao Garden, so it would be really nice to have a PC version of it. Hope your project goes well.

Chao Garden design ideas
So I'm currently building a Chao Garden game in Unity, and after working on some scripts for behavior (mainly establishing the baseline scripting for a working mood system) I've decided to start designing gardens. I have a couple of ideas for gardens already, but I'm very open to suggestions. These ...

Ideas for new Chao types
So I'm currently planning out a possible project I'd like to build in Unity that would basically be a larger and more interactive Chao Garden with a lot of new features. If all goes well and I can make this happen I'll post some more information about it. In the process I've also come up with some n...

SA2B freezes after SEGA logo?
Ever since I've installed my game, it usually freezes the first three times I try to run it. It normally freezes right after the SEGA logo, always on a loading screen. I have a NVIDIA GeoForce 960 graphics card. I've tried disabling Steam Overlay and manually changing the graphics card settings for ...

Re: Breeding for stat grades question?
Gotta say it sounds like we'll never get a concrete answer on this. It's amazing that way back then when home gaming was still young SEGA managed to create something so complex and intricate. As for my Chao, I settled for one that is SADSS (and is now an adult SACSS). It's going to take a long time ...

Re: Breeding for stat grades question?
I see. This is still pretty confusing, but I think I'm going to keep at it anyway. I am trying to breed for an all-S Chao (actually a Chao with only S and A stats, which I DID get after about five attempts but lost it due to my computer updating without giving me a chance to save), and I've gotten c...

Re: Breeding for stat grades question?
The way I'm looking at it is that for each stat grade, a Chao has four inherited possible grades for each stat. So if it's four grades per stat, there is a 1/4 chance of a Chao having one of those stats, just like you said. If we count the five stat grades we can see, this equation is repeated for a...
