Re: Sonic: Lost World coming to Wii U and 3DS
Lost World now exists on a handheld platform as of yesterday. I was able to get my hands on it, the special stages and the cutscenes really stand out for a portable game compared to all the other ones. (Rush, Generations, Etc.)
About this, for those who don't own the game (3ds is the version I own) and are wondering:
Special stage is in space, Sonic moves around using the gyro sensor, meaning you will spin around and look dumb in public. You boost like Super Sonic in Colors (?), and you collect orbs and time bonuses. 50 rings in normal stage = special stage opens for you. Once it is completed, you can replay it at any time.
Parkour. It boils down to "go fast at non-grey walls and run up them", then "jump between walls with no floor".
Wisps. They exist...
Lives. You start out with TEN LIVES. They're all over the place, so even if you die 12 times in one spot you'll probably get half them back by the end of the zone. (Single stages are called "zones" and not "acts" here for some reason.)

Spoiler much ^
the VS Mode is amazing. You can compete Online with friends who have the game or anybody. You can also Download play with others who don't have the game.
Also, Crash, would you update the topic?

Those aren't spoilers, those are gameplay elements. I wasn't talking about the special stages like you become super sonic in them, it just controls like it.

Okay.
Anyways, The Frozen Factory and Tropical Stages (with the exception of the boss, zone 1 and 3) are my favourites. I also like Windy Hill Zone 1 & 2 along with a Jungle Stage

To be honest I absolutely hated Frozen Factory, and Silent Forest was really unlikable because of the giant enemies. Sky Road was probably my favorite.

New Wii U DLC stage. Not gonna say anything (or spoil what it is), just see for yourself.
(On an unrelated note, this is my absolute first post in the Sonic related boards here.)

Am I the only one who thinks that looks mediocre? It looks like one of those 'character in another universe' hacks with a very basic stage design. Lost World is an average game at best and the DLC is free, so I wasn't expecting anything superb, but this is far from anything exciting. I'd be interested to know if that is all there is.
