Sonic CD controler issues

Post by kingofkoopas »

Hello. I'm new to these forums, however the steam forums have proved to be not helpful. I used this site to help with my SA2 lp, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I bought sonic CD today (steam version) and went to play it. However for some reason up and left are locked and I can't navigate the menu. When I load into the game I"m stuck looking up and non of my controls worked. I've tired unplugging my xbox controller, does the same thing with my keyboard. I did the same in reverse, unplugging my keyboard and putting in my controller, no luck. I've re-installed the game, verified cache and restarted my computer with no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do or did I waste 5 dollars?

I have a pretty decent gaming pc thank you very much.

And I found the problem. For some reason it was my blue tooth dongle. I turned it off and now it's working fine.

they're the same, the new one is just remastered in widescreen and with extra menu options

also did you know the maker of the CD and Sonic 1 remakes is a member of sonic retro who made game hacks?

I don't like how everyone ignored the op and left the to figure it out themselves?? I mean jeez talk about being rude

also um snowy how is the original better? the rerelease e version just has widescreen support and ability to choose what soundtrack you want to use??? I don't see how that conflicts with your "nostalgia"

It's the exact same game, just better. The only way it can interfere with your "Nostalgia" is through the loss of the lyrics in Toot Toot Sonic Warrior. Anyway if a person does like that song with lyrics then they really don't deserve an opinion on anything.

Aside from the most obvious alternate menu layouts, widescreen support, and online capabilities to accommodate the modern standard, there were several other notable changes in the 2011 remake. This included physics and bug improvements, as well as smooth scaling for UFOs in the Special Stages and a longer top speed for time travelling, which renders the overall gameplay slightly different than the original. Also, the Sound Test and Stage Select screens can no longer be accessed by code, but rather, they have to be unlocked in the same manner as the D.A. Garden and Visual Mode.
“Life’s not cruel until you put the game controller down.”

This is a little philosophical gem that I said when I was insanely tired.
