Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/26498/
Okay, so this isn't exactly new news, but I was just browsing the Steam store, and I found the Sonic Hits Collection, which gives you 150$ worth of Sonic games for 30$. It's pretty much buying Sonic Generations, and getting 10 other games/DLC for free.
Games List & Price:
Sonic Generations - 29.99
Sonic Adventure DX - 8.95
Sonic Adventure 2 - 9.99
SA2 Battle DLC - 2.99
Sonic All-Stars Racing - 14.99
Sonic All-Stars Racing 2 - 19.99
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - 4.99
Sonic 3 & Knuckles - 4.99
Sonic 3D Blast - 4.99
Sonic All-Stars Racing 2 DLC #1 - 2.99
Sonic CD - 4.99
Sonic Generations Casino Nights DLC - 1.59
Sonic Spinball - 4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog - 4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - 4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 - 9.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 - 14.99
Total - 151.39
Bundle Cost - 29.99
Thats pretty insane amount of savings in my opinion.

Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
you sound new to steam
here's what i suggest guys
wait for the bundle to go on sale for like 25% off or something
find someone selling it for tf2/dota keys, this usually adds up to be another 2-5 bucks off or so
this bundle also doesn't include asrt which is fantastic, i managed to nab this one for 3 tf2 keys (roughly between 5-6 bucks) using the above technique. it usually sells for 50 bucks just through steam
also pointing out that half the games can be emulated/you already own them on 8 billion other consoles

Chances are, if it's still up by the holiday season, it'll go down in price by up to %75 percent
But the glory of TF2 trading is that you don't even need to wait until then/get into actual TF2 trading to get the discount and understand how it goes
Basically just buy the keys off the market for cheaper than they are and then browse TF2outpost
Check it out, literally 10 seconds of searching and i found a guy selling the collection for 8 Keys, which is $16 or just about half of the Collection's actual going price
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13180529
If I didn't already have things to do with my inventory I would probably buy that

this ^
quick note: the price fluctuates very often, often dropping down to somewhere around $1.70 or up to $2.30
ingame though they cost $2.49 so it's always cheaper
Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
And if you have Paypal, just go on TF2oupost, find a reliable seller, and buy keys at $1.75 each easily

Re: Nova! and Crash teach you how to save $$$ buying PC game

If you prefer to buy off a website rather than buying off someone you found on a tf2 trading website, I suggest Hexide! I used this site back when it supported Paypal and I bought keys often, it was reliable and it worked perfectly. They now use Bitcoin, so if you like using that I suggest this site as another way for cheap keys.
There's also TF2Shop, but after apparently having illegitimate keys, they changed who supplied the keys which in turn increased their key price to $2.10. They support Paypal though.

Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
How did we get from a poorly named Sonic bundle (hits =/= every single sonic game ever released on steam) to TF2 keys?
Let's get back on topic.
Saving £85.84 is amazing. SEGA are lucky it's digital though, because they'd lose a hell of a lot of money from selling physical copies like that!

We didn't go off-topic, we simply explained multiple ways to get good deals on the Bundle. Sorry bud.

Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
Also, how would Sega "lose money" if this was a physical bundle? CDs and DVDs cost pennies, Blu-Rays have gotten a lot more affordable, they could repackage most of the older games onto a single DVD, and they wouldn't even need to splurge to give every disc its own case. They could probably make a physical copy of this bundle for less than 5USD per copy, which would harly cut into the profit margin. Not to mention that some of the included games have probably recouped their development costs at least ten times over.
Still, even without the hassle of playing the system(is it still cheaper to use these "keys" when you add in the value of your time at minimum wage?), this is a great deal for anyone into steam who doesn't already have most of the constitutant games.

Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
If the person who is selling the game for keys is online, it would only take probably 2-3 minutes extra to save roughly 16-17 bucks.
Re: Sonic Hits Collection On Steam
Yeah, it wouldn't take too long as long as the guy was online, it'd probably take a minute at the most if you knew the steam interface
