Star Trek: Into Darkness
I feel like this movie needed a spotlight here.
So, I just watched this movie in IMAX 3D, and I must say that it was absolutely fantastic. I'm not a serious movie critic and many movies can easily grab my attention. This one though, was very intense. Like, very. It had me jump in my seat a few times and made me cry a bit as well (but no surprise there, I cry at anything). The story was intriguing, keeping me at the edge of my seat, and the characters were spot on with the old Star Trek actors. Overall, I had really no complaints about this movie. It was great.
Here's a trailer: http://youtu.be/QAEkuVgt6Aw
So, anyone have any plans to see? Anyone seen it already?

I want to see it, but I probably won't be able to. It looks interesting and I'm a slight fan of benadril cucumber Benedict Cumberbatch, so.

Saw it, loved it.
It was hard to watch though as spock was portrayed by zachary quinto, who played as Sylar on heroes, so it was strange watching The guy that cut open peoples heads and stole their super powers be on the bridge of the NCC-1701.

COTY I LOVE YOU
YOU KNOW SYLER AND WATCHED HEROES ;vvvv;
but yes he was amazing in that series, but it didn't phase me how much his role changed. just what actors do.

I saw it. HUGE parallels to old Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Awesome movie. I loved it even though I had very little encounters with the old Star Trek stuff. Good action and plottwists. Only movie I've seen in a while to have a cool welldone bromance.

If I end up seeing it, the ONLY reason I'll watch is because it's part of the 8th grade promotion activity.
I chose After Earth, because I'm really not a Star Trek fan.

I was going to see after earth, but it got 12% on rotten tomatoes and hasn't made any money at all, so I went for Star Trek.
So yeah I saw it today, and just let me say this is an excellent peice of science fiction, and perhaps the best installment of Star Trek to date. I was very pleased with the tension and suspense, as well as character development, plot, and special effects of the movie.

Oh my gosh so much this. It's really unnerving. But he's a great actor so I'm fine with it.Coty wrote:Saw it, loved it.

Re: Star Trek: Into Darkness
^ Yeah, he's one of my favorite actors, but I think he would have made a better kahn, Of course that would be really messed up seeing as he was spock in the prior start trek alternate reality/reboot...
For some reason though, it really didn't bug me in the prior movie...

Re: Star Trek: Into Darkness
Except I always felt a pity for Sylar, which made me hate him a little less. But yeah Zachary is a great actor.
