The Animation General
Re: The Animation General
How many times have we talked about this show, how many times was I the one to start it?
Well in case this isn't new, TTG is also infamous for airing reruns during the premiere of new shows.

Well, OK K.O. seems to be holding its ground well against Teen Titans Go for some reason.
No, seriously what's up with that?

Re: The Animation General
Stuart Snider screwed up, but if it weren't for him cartoon network wouldn't have entered a renaissance. That's the difference between him and Christina Miller, he and others under him learned from their mistake. Christina Miller has successfully taken a giant crap on the network and things won't have a chance of getting any better until she's gone.

Hey I just got to thinking.
Back in the day cartoons would die if their merchandise didn't sell right? These days, couldn't phone applications replace that?

The Ducktales reboot pilot was pretty enjoyable.

Re: The Animation General
Thus, our lord and master Aku has returned.
Also, I find it strange that CN has lately been airing episodes of the original Teen Titans alongside Teen Titans Go. While this is quite welcome, I have to question the motivation behind it. With Teen Titans Go airing for hours on end across weeks, they've probably aired all the episodes multiple times in such a short time span. I don't think it's too far fetched to suggest a correlation. I feel conflicted. On one hand, Teen Titans is getting some air time for the first time in a decade, and introducing younger audiences to a frankly objectively superior show. But on the other hand, the gross over-saturation of Teen Titans Go is is likely what caused these airings in the first place.

Re: The Animation General
I keep seeing shots of Teen Titans footage on Boomerang's bumps, but whenever I surf their guide, I could never find a single airing. Perhaps that was just bad luck on my part.

Confession: I hated GAoB&M as a kid and most of the stuff on Cartoon Network at the time except Courage the Cowardly Dog. As an adult, looking back on the show through different, more discerning eyes... it's even worse than I remember.

^ OK KO’s a step in the right direction. Now CN just needs to get rid of the PPG reboot.

Re: The Animation General
Recently binged the dub of Digimon Adventure 02. and last night I gave the first part of Digimon Tri a listen. Kari's new voice will take some getting use to and it was surreal to hear Brave Heart playing over a battle with English Dialogue.
Also been going super oldschool and bingeing the dub of the original Speed Racer from where I left off quite a while ago. Picked up around episode 20 and currently in the low to mid thirties..

Re: The Animation General
Yes?... I think?
Re: The Animation General
specifically i meant Big Mouth but my wording accidentally applied to possibly a lot of cartoons.
so why do you guys think adult cartoons are the way they are? Animation that winds up looking rather ugly, grossout humor, you get all this money to actually make a cartoon and it goes into a toilet.
