Future Funk

Post by Triert »

Let me start you off easily into this genre.

マクロスMACROSS 82-99 x YUNG BAE - "Selfish High Heels" (Feat. ✿ Harrison ✿)
Bae City Rollaz(Ft. YUNG BAE) by ИΔΤVИ
SAINT PEPSI - ENJOY YOURSELF

It's important to note that you might say "isn't this vaporwave" but you would be wrong.

It's very important to take into account that the sampling and aesthetic is very, very different.

Childhood is listening to Future Funk

Adulthood is listening to actual Japanese Funk it """"""samples""""""

If you've been listening to Future Funk for over a year and haven't branched out to the source material and more, then there is no hope for you. Also I doubt anyone here hasn't listened to Future Funk, it's on every damn Youtube recommendation I've seen. It's not like it's some obscure genre of music. That, Eurobeat and Vaporwave are the trio of music that everyone seems to recognize or listen to if they've been on the internet for several years and have no real taste in music.

Keep in mind, I don't think any of them are bad.

it's not very good; of course a lot of vaporwave sounds like amateurish and you have to sift through so much garbage for something good

pc music is better

To be entirely honest retro, source of the songs aren't always easy to find.
