Triert, you silly goose, you forgot to put anything in your boxes![/s]

I'd highly recommend the game Petscop. I've been playing it for the last three days and it's great.

I like Love Live but it was mostly a chatbox discord thing people were interested in, unsure whether or not to add it.

We've started repeating stuff now.

Also I'm starting to think it would be a good idea to separate western and eastern creations due to the changes in what you'd be getting (the general art style, the culture, the
whether-or-not-I-might-need-to-find-some-fansub)

On that topic, also separating cartoons from live action seems like a good idea, even though I don't think we'll be getting any of those.

Might also be a good idea to keep the master list in Alphabetical order.

Anyways, +1 to the following:
Lord of the Rings
Frankenstein
DCAU
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Dragonball
Probably other things people have already mentioned.

And I'll add(sorry if I repeat anyone here instead of mentioning above):
Multimedia Franchises:
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Read the novels, listen to the Radio Show, fail at the game, watch the movie, and I hear the television show ain't bad either.

Western Animation:
Reboot: Will probably appeal to retro gamers more than the general population, but I think it worth mentioning if only because it was the first fully 3-D animated series.
Code Lyoko
Most, if not all, of the Disney animated canon.

Chinese Media(because the Japanese aren't the only Asians worthy of attention).
Legend of Qin/Qin's Moon: 3-D Animated Wuxia series set during the Qin Dynasty. Warning: the first season, at least the version I watched, is quite ugly, though the second and third seasons both see significant art evolution taking advantage of improving technology, and while the 4th season premiered after I went blind, I'm told the 4th season looks even better, and I've heard of plans to remaster the earlier episodes.
Any Manhua by Wing-Shing Ma, Storm Riders and Chinese Hero among them.
Legend of the Condor Hero/Legendary Couple: I believe this is originally a series of novels, though I'm only familar with what of the anime series and Manhua adaptations have been published in English.
The Four Constables
The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Manhua.
Actually, the Wuxia genre in general is pretty great.

Games:
Tetris
The Zork Trilogy.

Might add some more stuff later.

Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vol 1
Frank Miller and Klaus Janson's DareDevil
Fleetway's Sonic the Comic
The Golden Age Superman comics

I stress -required- with regards to those Disney comics. They make superhero comics from the time look like absolute crap in comparison. I've been ruined by reading them.

Isn't Sonic 3 Complete technically the same as saying playing S3&K?
The only thing I think it really adds is the option to play the PC music using the Genesis soundchip (which sounds great but not as good as it could).

BUT, now that I'm here talking about it, I'd advise for people to browse their options on how to play Sonic 3 & Knuckles because the game's split design makes it harder than most to find and play.
Spoiler:
- Steam has the game in its combined form right now.

- If your computer is too old for that or you know someone with the disc, there's always Sonic & Knuckles Collection, but it has altered occasionally superior music.

- I think the Mega Collection version has some bug fixes (or maybe that was just Sonic 1.), but you need to unlock the combined game.

- Classic Collection doesn't require any hassle to play the combined game but has some frame rate drops and other oddities.

- 3 Complete requires an emulator for most and that would limit some people's enjoyment in a few ways.
(You can however download it from the Steam Workshop to use it with the Steam emulator).

- Vintage Classics on the Xbox 360 (and probably PS3) is an awful interface but it gets the job done, and (I think) you need to have both games.

- Buying Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles on the Wii Shop Channel lets you play if you have both.

- If you have an actual Genesis/Mega Drive, but don't have S3 and S&K (or haven't already played it some other way) something is already wrong.

- Ultimate Genesis Collection does not have it despite having both S3 and S&K on it so watch out for that.

- I have absolutely no idea whether or not Sonic Jam lets you play it locked-on or not, but it has an easy mode, so that's something.

In the end, the easiest way is to get it on Steam (don't forget to wait for a sale that'll probably make it $2) and get 3 Complete from the Steam Workshop if you feel like it
OR the ultra dark gray area of simply downloading in the ROM from the S3 Complete website and getting an emulator like Kega Fusion.

Sonic 3 Complete is widely considered the definitive version of SOnic 3, though like you said, it does have the downside of being an unofficial hack.

Though, if we're going to add hacks to the list, we should also include Sonic Classic Heroes as not only does it do an impressive job of implementing Heroes' team gameplay in 2-D, its one of the better implementations of a combined S1+S2, and since it also allows playing with single characters, it doubles as an all-in-one package for many character in Sonic 1/2 hacks.

And if you have SA2B on steam or the 04 version of SADXPC, the SA1 and SA2 Mod Loaders are pretty much essential.

Ah, that's more than I remember. I downloaded 3 Complete a long time ago but never got around to playing it all the way through, then eventually changed computers and forgot about all of the changes
it offered.
