Anybody ever played these games? Not many of my friends at school have even heared of the series and the ones that have only have played the most recent one(lord of shadows) which wasn't very good in my opinion.

Re: Castlevania
I really enjoy Castlevania III, and I've played Symphony of the Night, but that's about all I've played. The music is probably my favorite part. I actually have all of the OST's downloaded.

Re: Castlevania
Symphony of the Night is awesome(Or at least the PSP version is). Most of the classic-vania entries I have played have non-been enjoyable. Have not played any from the GBA or DS eras though.

Re: Castlevania
Played the first one, but due to the controller I had I couldn't get past the first boss.
I've heard it's very good, yet hard as hell, and that the second game is the worst in the series.

Re: Castlevania
I liked the second game honestly. The worst games in the series are the ones on the original game boy

Re: Castlevania
He probably has one of the best stories of the castlevania world. Though I would love to see the war that happened in 1999 that killed dracula.
Re: Castlevania
I played the first when I went through a classic NES phase. I wanted to get the second or third, but was unable. I have no other experience with the series, and have missed all the added elements. But I liked the first, and I want to play others.

Re: Castlevania
I want to see the 1999 thing too!
Closest I've come is Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin in WWII.
I've completed all DS Castlevanias and the GBA Aria of Sorrow. <3

Re: Castlevania
The older castlevanias were hard imo. I beat a couple of the ones for gba, and I almost beat the one for the ps1. But yeah, awesome series. I haven't played any of the 3D ones yet. :P my cousin let me borrow his one for ps2. I plan on gettin' started on that soon.
Re: Castlevania
I've beaten 1 2 3 4 Rondo of Blood and Aria of Sorrow.

Re: Castlevania
Ah, Rondo is quite a challenge, I can't get past the 4th stage (i believe it was that) I don't know I memorize stages by the music, it was the stage with the Beginning music from CV3
Re: Castlevania
I have Circle of the Moon, and let me tell you, it is hell if you don't use summon cards on Dracula in his final phase.
