Might be a fun little thread, every week or so I'll change the topic and you guys can post specific music you've enjoyed relating to whatever I've said.

So, if I said "Ice Level Music" you could post something like this.

You get the idea right? It doesn't have to be genre related, so I might say "Mini-Boss" theme or "Music that give you a feeling of adventure". I'll usually post an example with it as well.

Tension Rising from Kingdom Hearts 2.

An Obstacle in Our Path from Xenoblade Chronicles was cool too.

Then there's Pokemon XD's Battle Sim music.

And lastly the unused "Trumpet Suicune" music in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

The Strongest Foe from Ys: The Oath in Felghana is pretty epic.

And Open Your Heart and Live and Learn are probably my two favorite Vocal Battle Themes.

I'm not gonna list my favorite favorites, or exclusively ones that fit what you're asking, since those mostly consist of Sonic songs. Instead I'm gonna tell you some of the favorites I've picked up through a variety of games through the years.

Lying Coldly - Ace Attorney Investigations is a classic. Probably my favorite song in all of the Ace Attorney series. Pursuit songs in Ace Attorney are always superb, but this one takes the cake for sure. It's the piano that really sells it.

Roswell Sortie - Yggdra Union I never beat the game itself, but this song always stood out to me as being a way to really get you into the action. My only complaint is that it is super short and loops often since it's mainly a battle tune and isn't meant to be extended for long amounts of time. A lot of the songs were really good to be honest. (Here's the GBA version if anyone cares)

Far Away - Red Dead Redemption still gives me chills. This game is one of my favorites of all time and I still can't get over how well they nailed the music. Entering Mexico was a huge deal, and this song was your reward for doing it.

Electric Worry - Left 4 Dead 2 played for a trailer and I don't think actually appeared in the game itself, just the OST. A shame considering it's a well done song that really captures the kind of game L4D2 is sometimes.

Grounds for Divorce - Left 4 Dead 2 was another fantastic song that only ever appeared in the trailers for the game. Still was on the OST, which is great cause it's a song that deserves more credit beyond being a song for a trailer one time.

Unfinished Business - Skullgirls is really good, but honestly you could toss in any Skullgirl song here.

Tons of others, but that's it for now.

Uh.... the Bruce Faulconer music in Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku II. I guess. The rendition of Super Namek is probably my favorite theme in the game. Cell's theme is great too.

Favourite remixed/remastered music.

It can be music that was in a remake, or music that appears in a later game.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana. The entire soundtrack. The PSP version(and perhaps the PC and Steam releases) also gives you the option of switching on the fly between the modern orchestration of the soundtrack and two different retro chiptune versions from the original Ys III: Wanderers from Ys, so even if it's your first Ys game(like it was for me), you can hear Nihon Falcom's compositions both in their classic form and their modern remixes.

*Listens to Zelda's Lullaby on YouTube.* Taken out of context, it gives me a mixed feeling of sadness turning to happiness. Though I'd say it's more soothing than uplifting, but then again, Lullabies are supposed to be soothing.

On the note of Zelda Music, Saria's Song certainly has an uplifting feel to it that makes one want to dance in the way we would think creatures of folklore would dance in forests.
