Animal Behaviors
If a Chao reincarnated, would it still perform behaviors from Small Animals that were given to it during its past life?
What is my life anymore?

Re: Animal Behaviors
I think so, if not, what they learned at the kindergarden does.

Re: Animal Behaviors
Actually, I don’t think it keeps animal behaviors. If it did, I would assume that you wouldn’t have to give all 21 animals to a chao to get it to transform into a Chaos chao in a single life, because the game would have the behaviors recorded and realize that you’ve given the chao that animal before. You do sometimes keep animal parts and all Kindergarten lessons though.
I would think that the easiest way to tell if it does keep animal behaviors is to give it an otter, and then let it reincarnate. Afterwards, give it swim if it needs it, and see if it can still swim on its back. If it can’t, then I doubt it would keep any other behaviors. If it does though, then maybe it does keep animal traits, and the game is just picky when it comes to Chaos chao.

OK! I should try that out, it's a good idea.

@CrimsonClaws: I have to say, I remember one of my Chao swimming on it's back even though it never got a otter in that life. 8L

Re: Animal Behaviors
Well I’ve never tested it, so it might keep animal traits, but if Citrus_Chao is going to try it then we could find out for sure afterwards.

Re: Animal Behaviors
I'm positive that they lose any animal behaviours when they reincarnate.
Because I find that they need to be given otters again to backstroke, AND to be given skeleton dogs again to make it wear hats. In addition, a newly reincarnated Chao who has a hat cannot remove its hat unless they are given a skeleton dog, this tells us that the ability to add/remove hats supplied by skeleton dogs is lost upon reincarnation.

Re: Animal Behaviors
They do lose their animal behaviours when they reincarnate.
This is exactly correct. When checking if you have given at least one of every animal to your chao so that it can transform into a Chaos chao, the game checks its learnt animal behaviours. The animal behaviours are the only way the game knows whether the chao has been given certain animals in its current life.CrimsonClaws wrote:Actually, I don’t think it keeps animal behaviors. Re: Animal Behaviors
^ Yeah why would you need to give a chao all the animals again when it already had its animal behaviors in order to get a Chaos chao? This makes a lot of since, because I too thought that chao kept behaviors after reincarnation.
