Chao Won't Mate

I'm trying to breed my N/R sapphire chao with my N/F amethyst chao, but they won't breed even if i give them heart fruit. They're both 1, and the sapphire chao is on it's second life. Anyyone know why this wont work?

It may be because you've reached the chao limit in the garden. If you already have 8 chao in your garden, they won't create another because you've already hit the limit. Try moving a chao out of the garden and into another, then breed them.

Thanks guys, it worked! My first breeding attempt got me the result i wanted, an amethyst SSASS chao!
