Life: Pit is Palutena's loyal servant, as well as the captain of her guard. He is a kind, selfless character who is willing to make sacrifices for others. He is generally upbeat and tends to joke around a lot, yet can be serious when the time calls. However, he can be rather naive, and he's not the smartest guy around. Pit is unable to fly by himself, and must have his flight granted by Palutena. He cannot fly for more than five minutes in one day, or his wings will burn up and mortally injure him. While Pit's preferred weapon of choice is his trusty Palutena Bow, he does have other weapons in his arsenal. They expand over time, but his back-up weapons initially include First Blade, Standard Orbitars, and Violet Palm. In battle, Pit is generally nimble, and is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to weaponry (though he generally prefers bows). However, he's quite frail in the defense department, and can easily be wrecked by a strong attack if he doesn't see it coming, and he can get quite distracted from insults.

Despite having potential to fight herself, she usually leaves the job to Pit (and occasionally the Centurions) while she remains in her temple to help from behind the scenes in way she can (especially since Skyworld is very vunlerable to invasion, and the weak Centurions aren't enough to defend). Palutena is the one who grants Pit's power of flight, and is also capable of extracting the angel from battle, whether in emergency or after his mission is accomplished.
