Well, I finally got Skyward Sword for Christmas, but I couldn't play until Saturday. Going to try my hand on Hero mode pretty soon here.

Skyward Sword seemed too.. babyish to me for some reason. I mean, in the beginning your obviously boyfriend to Zelda, they suggest that far too much. And the final boss has a red afro and a black tatoo'd body. That's it. there's nothing there that makes him intimidating.

Really? I thought that the final boss resembled beast ganon, and I don't think those were tatooes. I think they were scales.

Nope. Ganon isn't in this game. And this weakling only takes a few hits before the credits.

Demise was first, so maybe Ganon resembles Demise :PSonicBoom wrote:Really? I thought that the final boss resembled beast ganon, and I don't think those were tatooes. I think they were scales.

He still has the same appearance, though. And that weakling accounted for half my Game Overs before I figured out I could throw lightning as well.

I thought one of you said Demise's appearance depended on the person looking.

^They've also said they're updating the overall game experience in some way. The graphical change is beyond beautiful, but just saying for anyone concerned it's merely an image improvement.
Also confirmation that a new Zelda is in development, as indicated by that subtitle.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Fanclub: CI's largest Zelda thread!
Here is what has been revealed about the future Zelda WiiU title. Sorry that it's from IGN, but because information is so scare, I think it's probably safe to post this:
IGN wrote:Franchise producer Eiji Aonuma, citing the scope and ambition of this new project, declined to do a full unveiling of the Wii U Zelda entry, but provided some insight into his team's mission. In essence, Nintendo is "rethinking the conventions of Zelda." Ideas like dungeons needing to be completed in order, and Zelda adventures being single-player only, are being set aside as the team focuses on "returning to basics." The goal of all this, Aonuma said, was to create a reborn Zelda - and more details on this will be shared as the game comes together.
But that wasn't all Aonuma detailed about his new Zelda endeavor. He discussed Nintendo's new visual approach for the game, which apparently is completely unlike the HD demo shown at E3 2011, but wasn't ready to be shown at this time.
Aonuma noted this still-mysterious "new style" developed as his team experimented bringing Zelda's many graphical styles into HD. The producer said over time something entirely new and unique evolved. There are many questions - and it seems as though we have a while to wait. No release window of any kind was provided for this new game.

I would rather have the HD remake of Majora's mask than WW. Why? It's Majora's mask.

I would rather a 3D, modern remake from the ground up of Alttp or earlier Zelda title like Zelda 2--you know, my wishful thinking that one day Nintendo won't sell me half-baked remakes.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Fanclub: CI's largest Zelda thread!
I loved Link's Awakening so much. A Link To The Past was a little bit disappointed, to be honest. It was quite hard. Some enemies seriously dealt 3-4 damage. I mean, sure, enemies should get harder, but it's seriously impossible to play better if the directions screw you over... Why do I even collect hearts when in the end I just need to get the same amount of hits to die, what's the point of it?

Well what I mean by ground up remake is starting from scratch, meaning mechanics comparable to modern titles and the world translated onto the 3D plane. That way those sort of complaints (I'm with you, by the way) you have would probably be remedied.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Fanclub: CI's largest Zelda thread!
Yeah, I hope so. If they are making it 3D as well, that would be perfect. I prefer the 3D version overall, because of the easier controls and better gameplay. Locking on your target is easier than how it is in the current game, trying to run into another direction, then trying to turn around to attack which usually fails.
