We'll have to be mindful of which indie devs we decide to cover, the good lord knows people like Phil Fish don't need people making a decision to buy his game without being informed of the kind of person he is ahead of time. A little paragraph disclaimer or so of "This guy is a total arse with a stick so far up his ass he could be a flagpole" and what they've done to not so much tell people "don't buy it" but instead let them make that decision when they are alone in the dark one day and leave it up to them.
Also, if we suggest any multiplayer games we have to be aware if the communities are dead before recommending a game.
Well, after a concession in the discord we more or less have 5 potential rubrics to judge a game on.
Control (Does your movement suck? Or is it smooth like Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom?)
Stability (Frame Rates, bugs, collision.)
Fun (Amount of grinding, repetitive gameplay, etc)
Story (This one might be a variable since some games are good while having a barebones story.)
Music?
Some of us had to call it a night before we could decide on music, but how's this look?

Edit: After much consultation and blood on the debate floor, we have all five our of grading standards for the GOAT's
Control (Does your movement suck? Or is it smooth like Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom?)
Stability (Frame Rates, bugs, collision.)
Fun (Amount of grinding, repetitive gameplay, etc)
Immersion (Does it engage you into the game itself? Into the world itself?)
Music (Repetitive or not?)
I'd ask that any of us that make an addition to the incoming GOATEGG topic that we use a 5 point grading system if I didn't say it here already. 5 is a perfect as usual, 4 is above average, 3 is a normal/no opinion, 2 is a dissapointing, one is awful.
Part of me wanted to make a small list of recommended games for each console without any further effort, I'm not sure why I went down this route instead so....just do whatever I guess.
If me or anyone relevant gets struck by the EU hate speech ruling that Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Microsoft all agreed to. It's something I'll make a topic on.
Edit: It is said to begin to go into effect in 24 hours.
