Re: The Help Thread
Hidden Power Ground. That takes advantage of Steel Pokemon because Magnet Pull traps the Steel Pokemon. Steel Pokemon can't do anything to Magnezone after it has Magnet Rise. So Hidden Power Ground would be the best choice. If you are worried about ground types, Hidden Power Grass. But I recommend Hidden Power Ground. For the item, I say leftovers if your planning to make it a wall for Steel types. Magnezone can be known as "Steel Killer", so if your team every has trouble with Steel types, Magnezone is always up for the job.

Re: The Help Thread
with magnezone's nature(careful) you have a special def. boost, but you have less special attack.
EV spread:
252 EVs in HP
50-100 EVs in special attack
remaining EVs in special defense and defense.
item:leftovers/lum berry(depending on toxic or rest)
moveset:
magnet rise
substitute
thunderbolt
toxic/rest(if toxic then hold leftovers)(if rest then hold lum berry)
__________(or)___________
EV spread:
252 in HP
96 in def.
162 in special def.
item: leftovers
moveset:
Light Screen
Reflect
substitute
discharge/charge beam(discharge has 30% chance to paralyze)(charge beam has 70% chance to raise special att.)
http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/ will show you different variations of sets to use, including nature, item, moveset, and EV/IV spread

^ Sure Smogon shows a lot of good sets, but sometimes you need to change it up a bit so your opponent doesn't get too predictable. A lot of people use those sets.

Well, I don't ever battle on Wi-Fi, and my Gracstomp is a Steelix's worst nightmare, so I'll take Charge Beam & Leftovers.
THX guys, does anyone else have a question?

No, levitate gets rid of Ground Attacks. HP Ground also takes care of Fire types too.Lt Waffles wrote:Hidden Power Ground. Re: The Help Thread
My suggestion, Thunder Bolt, HP Ground, Flash Cannon and Thunder Wave. I use this set and it works like wonders.

Re: The Help Thread
I think Thunder Bolt, HP Ground, Magnet Rise and Mirror Move
Thunder Bolt uses STAB, HP Ground takes care of Fire types. Magnet Rise gets rid of Ground Type Moves, and Mirror Move makes the user user the same move the foe just did, but as a Flying Type, which takes care of Fighting Types.
As for the item, I say the Expert Belt. Since it'll have all Super Effective Moves, it'll do loads of damage.

Dude, Levitate is an ability. Not Magnet Rise. Wtf, was that supposed to be a lame joke? XDEliOceans wrote:It has Magnet Rise. XD Failspudman2 wrote: Thunderbolt Magnet Rise

And I say Steel Pokemon because Steel types can use ground moves.

Re: The Help Thread
This is help. Helping Waffles understand that magnet rise changes your ability.
http://pokemon.marriland.com/hgss/pokedex/magnezone/ scroll down to the tutor moves and hover your mouse over "Magnet Rise". I would know, my Ampharos uses it.

Wow, wtf. Blame it on smogon for educating me wrong. XD http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/magnet_riseEliOceans wrote:This is help. Helping Waffles understand that magnet rise changes your ability.

Well, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to switch Heracross for Pinsir. Because I think Mold Breaker will be good to stop Intimidate, but would Guts be a better choice? And what is the better about Heracross than Pinsir besides Guts? I want to know this before having any updates.

Re: The Help Thread
You sir are very confused. See, EliOceans was the one whole told me that Magnet Rise changed the ability of the Pokemon into Levitate. I went against that and said it only made the user immune to ground moves but you still have Magnet Pull for Magnezone after using it. Smogon never stated that it changed the user's ability, so that leads to why it had educated me incorrectly.Darkly wrote:Eh, not to pick fly**** out of pepper, but if it "educated you wrong", that means it would have told you it did make it's ability Levitate. >.>Lt Waffles wrote:Exactly. Since this problem has been answered, and no one else will ask a question, I will.
Can females pass down level-up moves?
(i.e., Can a female Sudowoodo give Rock Slide to a baby Bonsly?)
