No, it isn't possible, as far as I know. This is for the PC Version of Sonic Adventure DX, and a PC Version of Sonic Adventure 2/Battle was never released.

The slider for e102 doesn't work and the black market gba fruits crash the game when i select them at the black market
Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
^ That means there may be a problem with the GAME. I have it and it works just fine. And anyways, you don't even need the Black Market to buy fruit. :D

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
i know that you don't need to buy fruits but the slider for e102 needs to be fixed and there should be an warning that those fruits crash the game
Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
Indeed. If something just crashes the game, it shouldn't be an option in my editor. Thanks for letting me know, r543Blitzsonic. I'll confirm what you said and then include change(s) in the next version if necessary.
Fusion Chao Editor
In my opinion Fusion's chao editor is one of the best ive ever seen and ive used it alot and i loved it, Whats you opinion on it? And hopefully Fusion will make more.

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
Ah, um, I'm running SADX through Steam (it was on sale and I figured "why not?"), and it seems that the Chao Editor won't work with it. None of my Chao come up, and whenever I create a new Chao in an empty slot, it isn't reflected in the game itself. However, the Editor indicates that it's connected with my copy of the game. It's highly likely that all these problems can be attributed to the fact that this isn't a physical copy of the PC version, but the Steam-distributed digital copy. Is there any way to fix this so that the two are compatible?
Because this Editor looks quite amazing and it'd be nice to use.
Thank you very much.

That's correct: my editor doesn't currently work with the Steam version of SADX. I will be looking into it very soon and hopefully releasing an update for my editor to get it to work. I'll try not to make you wait too long.

Oh, wow, that was a really quick reply. Thank you. I'll be looking forward to the next update.

Sorry to say but you said soon now its been a while so why is it taking so long???Fusion wrote:I'll look into the problems with the Steam version and get back to you, okay? It won't work with SA2B though, as that's an entirely different game. I might make an editor for SA2B in the future.
Edit: I've gone through every page in this thread and put together a list of all the reported problems and the suggested new features. I'll try to release a new version of my editor soon.
Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
Wow, this sounds neat! I think I'm going to go with the Steam version of SADX because it is newer. I can't wait until the Steam version of the editor releases, because this is already great! '
Actually, it looks to me like the graphics for the regular version are fine, so, okay. I'll try this!

A few questions, does it show changes in it, so if we like feed the chao or make it happy, will those sliders slide on their own? And also, am I allowed to few the source code, and how did you look into the sonic adventure source code
Also, you said it doesn't work with SA2B, but wouldn't it work a little bit as they would share some code, correct? Also, we are talking about SA2B on an EMulator, correct?

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
Yes, it will automatically update to show any changes as they happen in the game. This can be used to research how things work, as we still don't know everything about all of these values.TheDarkness73 wrote:does it show changes in it, so if we like feed the chao or make it happy, will those sliders slide on their own?
I'll consider it, but I'd rather not release the source code.TheDarkness73 wrote:am I allowed to few the source code
I used a disassembler.TheDarkness73 wrote:how did you look into the sonic adventure source code
It won't work with SA2B at all; that means SA2B running on the GameCube as well as SA2B running in an emulator. Yes, the games do share a lot of code, and I could make a similar program for SA2B, but it would require some modification.TheDarkness73 wrote:Also, you said it doesn't work with SA2B, but wouldn't it work a little bit as they would share some code, correct? ^If you can disassemble and recompile SADX's code, I think you should start making Chao Garden mods! New breeds, new colors .etc. What would be stopping you?

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
I've downloaded the editor, but I can't attempt to use it unless I can find some way of minimizing the game so I can bring up the editor. I've tried many of the normal combinations for minimizing programs, but nothing seems to be working.
I went and found a downloadable version of SADX, so this may very well be the reason that I'm having problems.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to wherever you installed or extracted the game files. Do you see a file there called "sonicDX.ini"? If so, open it up in Notepad and change the line "screen=1" to "screen=0". Save it and then try to run the game; it should run in a window rather than in fullscreen mode.

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)
I found the file, but it doesn't have the word "screen" mentioned anywhere. Here's what is written in the file when I open it:
[sonicDX]
padconfig=pad_user
[pad_user]
buttons=8
pad0=2
pad1=10
pad2=16
pad3=17
pad4=9
pad5=4
pad6=1
pad7=3
pad8=3
That's it. It's incredibly short. Should I just edit it, and add the line Screen=0 to it? I'm assuming that if I did, I would have to look into more of the code, and edit it elsewhere in order for it to actually do something.

Try adding the line "screen=0" underneath the line "[sonicDX]", like so:
Code: Select all
[sonicDX]
screen=0
padconfig=pad_user
[pad_user]
buttons=8
pad0=2
pad1=10
pad2=16
pad3=17
pad4=9
pad5=4
pad6=1
pad7=3
