That is correct. All those chao (more than is normally allowed) caused the game to slow down immensely and some things started disappearing.

^Now that's just awesome. It almost sounds like you didn't have enough materials to create a chao, so you had to break things down to create them. So chao are made of stone, huh?

How did you get the SA2:B shoes? And too many...chao... x.X

Does that mean you can put more than 8 chao in a garden? If so, what does the race screen look like...?

Also, I managed to get 24 chao in the garden as well.
  1. Spawn all 24 chao. 8 in each garden, make sure they're eggs, though! In the Chao list, right click on any empty spaces and press "New chao"
  2. Visit the garden you want all your chao in (Station Square, for example)
  3. Visit The second Garden, Mystic Ruins or Egg Carrier, for example)
  4. In the chao editor, move every chao into Garden 1. Then travel there.
  5. In garden 1, you'll notice you have 16 chao/eggs.
  6. Go to garden 2 from 1.
  7. In the chao editor, move every chao into Garden 1. Then travel there.
24 chao in one garden. I have no idea if this will stay when you exit, though. I'll try to get screenshots if I can keep them all in one spot.


This isn't what Fusion did, though. He had at least twice the chao I did. My game didn't slow down at all.

You can have more than eight chao in one garden; I believe you might even be able to do this without hacking. When you mate two chao together, a new egg appears in the same garden. However, if you have too many chao in one garden, you won't be able to interact with them.

Drouge is correct. What I showed in that screenshot isn't possible with my editor. It's not really something most people would want to do, anyway. By editing the game's code, I caused it to create multiple bodies for a single chao.

Question.
Will we be able to make it too where we can choose it too be a secondary evolution chao, like
Normal/Run/Run (sonic chao)
in the next version?
All i see is Normal/Run,or Dark/Power,stuff like that.

Seemed to fix when i took it,put it in the mystic ruins,and put it back into the main garden.

My suggestion is to stop chao from hatching entirely. Or having pre-set sliders for the moods, so that we can set them to immediatly fall asleep, or wake up, or dance, or eat and simple things like that.

You can already create second evolutions, as I stated in the first post under "Features". Take a look at this screenshot:

Do you see the Run ↔ Power, Swim ↔ Fly, and Magnitude sliders? That is where you set the chao's gradual evolution. Gradual evolution works both for child chao (where it decides what first evolution it will transform into) and for adult chao (where it is commonly called second evolution). Hover your mouse over those sliders in the program to get some more information.

It looks like you ticked "Allow extreme values" in my program and created a very extreme second evolution. If you don't want to create weird chao like that, then make sure "Allow extreme values" is not ticked, which is the default.

I'll look into it. By pre-set sliders, do you mean something like a button which you could click to make the chao fall asleep? Is that really so different from just dragging the slider to the right?

I think Hybrid 2nd evolutions would fit pretty well. Since its exactly what they are.
You can do this with child evolutions too ^^

From hacking SA2B, I have found some more things which I can include in my SADX PC Chao Editor. The next version might allow you to change your chao's personality, favourite fruit, favourite fruit DNA, and stat grade DNA. I don't yet know if personality or favourite fruit makes any difference in SADX though.
