Why is CI Forums SO DEAD

Post by SwifterTheDragon »

I really don't feel like waiting for another opportunity to post something or wait to come up with something useful, just for a single Chao Point.
WHERE HAS EVERYBODY GONE?!
It seems very lonely around here.
Is it just my timing? Is everyone asleep?

It hasn't been super dead, but definitely not so active.

I mean, it's a forum based off of a minigame from the Sonic Adventure games. The last time on of them came out was 2002 (or 2012 if you count the digital releases) By its very nature, it isn't going to be the most active thing in the world. Definitely not dead, just slow. Always been that way, I think.
I'm foo757#1804 on battle.net, if anyone is up for Hearthstone/Overwatch.

It's just I'm a VERY active user on not only here, but many other websites and games.
Its just I'm playing games on my phone WAITING for a reply on my posts.. Literally.
I wouldn't watch YouTube, I watch all my videos in the morning..
I'm an active user in a dead website. ;-;

Be patient, kiddo. The forum most certainly is not dead. And we might get more traffic in a few days when the anniversary party happens.

That sounds nice.
How many anniversaries have there been so far?
When is the date for the anniversary?

^It's for Sonic's 25th. I believe they said they'd announce a new game at the party.
It's on the 22nd of July (this week) at 6PM Pacific Time. It's also going to be streamed here.

Several people are practically betting money on that it'll be SA3 (Most likely also meaning chao.), but if it's not then new Sonic news might reinvigorate some people to play chao again and come here.

Now that just makes me struggle to not get TOO hyped for a chance of SA3.
I will watch it, THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION.
That was NOT sarcasm. Really, thanks.

Most people are exaggerating how low this forum is in activity, but it certainly isn't the kind of site you want to be checking constantly. I myself, check CI twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening, and is one of only a handful I check more than once daily, and if I found myself reading a forum where more frequent visits were needed to keep up with new posts, I'd probably drop it fairly quickly.

In general, I've read that it's actually unhealthy and counterproductive to constantly check e-mail and social media throughout the day and that people should strive to have a daily block of "unplugged" time.

I'll turn on notifications for any replies or PM's then so I know exactly when to go back on.
I'll get an email notification from my phone as I have it next to me a lot.
I do other things, I honestly do 1-2 hours on WII FIT U kinda daily, but I have a lot of accounts and games to get my daily bonuses and all that stuff.
I do read for two hours a day after I leave CI. After that I sleep.
