I don't think there's an easy or feasible way with what the mods are currently able to do to help the website.
Not only that, since we have no simple way of finding the account, I bring forward the idea of the paperwork solution.
We don't have that many new members joining, and I understand many spam accounts are made. But what if we simply have mods manually approve of members instead from now on?
Handle the paperwork so we can see an end to the madness?

and end of the life of ci by having nothing to talk about
Re: The Paperwork Solution to Riot
If people wanted something to talk about I could just open up CTN again and not consolidate it all on one topic.

Re: The Paperwork Solution to Riot
stuff that's actually fun and interesting to talk about
Re: The Paperwork Solution to Riot
There's that unicorn of "fun and interesting things to talk about" again.
What is fun and interesting to talk about, obviously I like talking about politics but my fun /=/ other people's fun.
Do you know what is a lightning rod for people to go to when it comes to topics here, either game related tournaments, or onsite events. Mind you, the recent onsite event caused a game of "guess who" that even I took a part in. I was only able to quit that game when it was pretty obvious my guesses, and any possible conspiracy between the mods were proven false by simply talking in the chatbox.
But I'm guessing you tell me this because even you know this website loves it drama. We should make a mystery rpg game about this whole event.

Re: The Paperwork Solution to Riot
We're hardly getting any users as it is beyond spam accounts and such. If the mods are up for it then I guess it would be a great idea.
It's weird, we're not understaffed per se but when something happens that mods have to deal with it always seems like they're taken by surprise from it. I guess they are in the end, no one anticipated an attack like that and it was dealt with after time.

The Paperwork Solution is starting to look pretty good in my opinion.
Re: The Paperwork Solution to Riot
The best solution to this issue is to completely ignore the spam accounts. When they eventually realize their efforts are in vain, they will leave.
