How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
NEW!: New video guide on how to obtain "Mint" Chao!
Let me explain myself here. As you may know from my topic on Translucent and Invisible Chao, when you breed a Shiny Pink Chao with a Jewel Chao of any kind, you have a chance at getting at Two-Tone White Chao with a Green Tint, aka a "Mint" Chao. But what exactly is this "Mint" Chao, and why am I using quotes for the word mint? I shall explain that, now.
This strange Chao is not like any other Chao. There is no Non-Shiny version of this Chao and this isn't a Mono-Tone version of this Chao. The fact that it does not give off any results like it is what makes it so strange. Along with that, a glitch that often made Translucent or Invisible Chao somehow created this solid colored Chao. That is why the name "Not so Transparent" works so well.
The reason why it is called a Two-Tone White Chao with a Green Tint is because many have noticed that all the colors of the different forms the "Mint" Chao takes all look like Two-Tone White Chao, but with piece of green glass put over it. So far, that has been the most supported theory. Of course, some think that it was a bonus Chao hidden so that the designers could have something fun for users to find.
For those who think that, take a look at this.
I hope this clears up what a "Mint" Chao is and why it is important to know what it is.

Yes! A "mint" chao sticky! Thank you so much Crazo! ^_^
I'd just like to say... what do you think causes it's odd coloring? Maybe it has a tint?

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
As I have said before about Translucent and Invisible Chao, there seem to be tints with all these glitches. Personally, I believe that it is possible there is a green tint over a Normal Chao or similar Chao, creating this effect. I am likely to test the colors because then what color it becomes will give me an answer, because if a Neutral Power "Mint" Chao is Brown, then we know it is a Normal Chao covered in a Green Tint.

Interesting. It would still be hard to pick out.
If I had something witty or particularly creative to say, it would go here.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
It isn't my fault they were abused! They wouldn't sit still, I had my knuckles, and it was the only way to get them to sit still. At least the STT Green and "Mint" Chao were listening. It was just those gosh darn STT Yellow and STT Lime Green Chao!chao-lover-viki wrote:but it's sad that the chao are abused.

That might solve the delema of the Mint chao.
Look at the chao named Mint. It is a green/red hero power chao.
Now yet again,

Go to the "Hero" part

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
^ NinjaPie, the chao named Mint in that video isn't even a "mint" chao. It's a two-tone lime green. The purpose of this thread is to keep mistakes like that from happening. Thanks for sharing the commonness of this mistake. ^_^;

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
Hmm, I think you're right. But it was a hero chao anyways, so that might have caused the confusion for me.
EDIT: Try to make a hero chao a mint and if it is green, it might have a green tint then, right?

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
^I already personally believe that the "mint" chao is a shiny white two-tone with a green tint.
If you think about it, most translucent chao are white two-tones with some sort of tint. The "mint" chao IS the only chao bred from shiny and jewel that doesn't turn out translucent or invisible, but it still may follow the same trend of being shiny white two-tone with a tint.
I've also compared pictures of mint chao with pictures of white two-tones, and I must say the resemblance is uncanny.
All the parts that are white on the white two-tones have a greenish glow on the "mint" chao.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
Rose, you just named what Master Chao did to notice this.
I do not question the chance behind it, but I would like more investigating to be done on this.
For anyone with a quality camera and lots of time on there hand, I am about to be listing all the colors of Shiny Chao that create some form of Two-Tone White when bred with a Jewel Chao.
Sky Blue
Blue
Brown
Black
White
Specifically, breeding a Shiny White with a Jewel Chao would be most helpful because that would create a Translucent Two-Tone with a Green Tint. If it looks like a "Mint" Chao, but faded, then we'll have proof. With my new TV, I will be testing it myself. I may also be testing all the existing combination charts.
I would also like to correct Master Chao on something. My chart says that a Shiny Brown with a Jewel Chao would create a Shiny Two-Tone White, no tints, no translucency. I shall be testing more combinations and results. If anything interesting comes up, I will say.
