Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
"Mint" Chao are very cool.
I have one "Mint" chao, MinTa. I was looking on the site to figure out what primary evolution I wanted. Couldn't find any pics. So I took my own with alot of resetting and changing type. Unless I didn't look hard enough, I can't find any pics, so, I hope it's okay if I post them here, under the "Mint" Topic. I apologize in advance if there's already pictures.
"Mint" Neutral Swim
"Mint" Hero Swim
"Mint" Dark Swim
"Mint" Hero Power
"Mint" Neutral Power
"Mint" Dark Power
"Mint" Hero Fly
"Mint" Neutral Fly
"Mint" Dark Fly
"Mint" Hero Run
"Mint" Neutral Run
"Mint" Dark Run
Took a LONG time with just one chao. I ended up making it Neutral Fly.

Yeah, I actually already have the pictures of "Mint" in First Evolution already. They can be found here.Guardian_Daabi96 wrote:"Mint" Chao are very cool.

I would like to share two pictures with you guys.JmTsHaW wrote:Monotone "Mint"
<- the colour of the Mono-tone "mint" is different for some reason
however, it is utterly near to impossible and not worth it to get the other "mint" chao listed above if you do manage it, as since these chao are run on the "default" colour, they will return to this -> when you leave the garden in ANY WAY! (including the name machine) plus, you can only get these chao in the PC version of SADX anyway using the memory editor.
Both of these are Mono-Tone Normal Chao. The Mono-Tone Normal Chao has access to a lot of colors, thus it now opens up a new theory. I would like to call it the Rainbow Theory.
So far there are two existing theories about Chao color that could explain the "Mint" result that Master Chao and I talk about. The first is the Color Theory, where each color of Chao is saved as its own thing. This would mean that Mono-Tone Red and Two-Tone Red are two different colors. The other is the Texture Theory, basically saying that each color is the Two-Tone Color and when it is Mono-Tone it doesn't move. It is a bit more detailed than that, but that's the basics of it.
The Rainbow Theory is like the Texture Theory, but it is all just one Rainbow Texture. It would remind someone of the color grids used with coloring tools on many modern programs. The MTN Chao and the results that Jm showed on the "Mint" Chao could support that, but it is hard to say. I'll get a better look sometime, but so far this would have to stand and also be effective with the other Shiny Jewel Chao.

^ You should read some earlier posts.
To get a mint chao, mate a shiny pink chao with any jewel.

I just wish we all knew how SEGA programmed this chao. We'd then "clear the fog."

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
Yeah. If only SEGA told us more stuff.
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao
Guys, if the programmers told the players about how the game worked in every detail, it wouldn't be fun. xD
There are many ways to look at the "Mint" Chao. Currently, I've given up on all my insane theories after seeing the pictures JMT showed us, using the Chao Editor. It is currently the Rainbow Theory, in which there is a rainbow texture used for all the colors there are just like they have in most drawing programs, is what I'm sticking to because if they had a ton of different textures for all this, it would be insane. Then again, I still need to dig through the Chao Texture options more effectively, because I haven't dug all over the places that I should. If I can't find a Rainbow Texture or all of the Color Textures for the separate evolutions, then I'll need to do a lot more digging to know what it really takes to make the Chao appear how they do.

@hyliandeity I think you get invisible with any other shiny. Not sure. I don't have any.
I just know jewel + shiny pink = mint cuz I got two from breeding a silver with a shiny pink both times.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
I think I've got a non-shiny mint chao... I bred a lime green chao with a normal chao and the result was a green one (somewhere in between lime green and ordinary green) with white tips. Is he an inverted "mint" chao or just a strange two-tone?
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
It is just a Two-Tone Lime Green. It only looks convincing because it is a baby. When it grows up it will be different.
