You must've bred a shiny white with a jewel chao then.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
Are the results different from shiny chao and normal chao of same color breeded with a jewel?
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
The results are based on the Chao's Color. There are fourteen colors. White, Grey, Black, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Green, Sky Blue, Blue, Purple, Brown and Normal. Yes, Normal is a color.Fuzzy Chaos wrote:Are the results different from shiny chao and normal chao of same color breeded with a jewel?
When Shiny and Jewel exist in the same body it creates a a Shiny Jewel Chao. The Jewel does not matter, the fact that it is there does. So if you want to see different results you have to try different Shiny Chao. The results will not change if the Chao is a Two-Tone. All that matters is that it is Shiny and a Jewel Chao, then the Color picks what result you'll get.
I have a chart about it right here.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
Okay, what you just said is, "Does a Shiny MoNo-Tone and a Normal MoNo-Tone."
MNT is a term used by people for MoNo-Tone. Not many people use this because it is easily mistaken as MTN.
MTN is Mono-Tone Normal.
Look at it this way:
There are fourteen Shiny Jewel Chao.
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone White Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Grey Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Black Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Pink Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Red Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Orange Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Yellow Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Lime Green Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Green Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Sky Blue Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Blue Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Purple Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Brown Chao
Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Normal Chao
You should understand what Shiny means by now. Jewel can be any Jewel Chao. Any-Tone means that it doesn't matter if it is Mono-Tone or Two-Tone. These fourteen Chao create strange results that have nothing to do with each other.
A Non-Shiny Jewel Any-Tone Color Chao (A Mono-Tone Color Chao bred with a Jewel Chao) results in a Jewel Chao that carries the Mono-Tone and the Color Gene from the Mono-Tone Color Chao. Jewel covers over any Non-Shiny Color.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
Alright i understand now, so it does not matter if its shiny or not or two toned (well does depend on parents of two toned), it just the base color
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
No. What matters is that it IS Shiny,IS Jewel, and the Color determines the result. So if it is Non-Shiny, then the results will just be the Jewel coat.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
you know i also have a transparent and its a light chaos chao. and you said there wasnt such thing. but i know its green and i compared the two transparent greens and i figured it was mint. also oddly enough it dosent have hands. the crystaly part is just kinda cut off. please tell me why if you know why it dosnt have hands.
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
Transparent means Invisible. You mean Translucent. And Translucent Chao are only available on the Gamecube versions of the games. I was likely saying that they don't exist on the PC version of SADX.
When a Translucent Chao becomes a Chaos Chao, the parts that normally become Translucent have errors because a Translucent version of a Translucent part is likely to either become Solid or Invisible.

Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
would using a shiny MTN chao have a different effect
clear chao are so cool!!!Too bad I dont own any :(
Re: How to Identify a "Mint" Chao (New: Video Guide)
No. Shiny Jewel Chao are not effected by Tone. A Shiny Normal and a Shiny MTN would have the same result, but they also both have a lot of other genes involved in them because it is very hard to get a pure Shiny Normal or Shiny MTN Chao.

What color will a mint chao be if it goes Angel/Light/Devil chao? Or does it stay the same?
