I count 3 universes containing a version of Sally(SatAM, AoStH(she only appears in one episode, but I say it counts), and Archie). Even then, Amy doesn't exist in SatAM or AoStH and Archie Amy, while originally a Sonic fangirl, has never had romantic feelings for that version of Sonic(at least as far as I know).Ivogoji wrote:And, as usual, the approved pairing is continuity sensitive... Given that Sally doesn't exist outside two universes.

Do the games even have a canon? Archie Sonic has its fair share of continuity errors, but I would say its Canon is many orders of magnitude better defined than that of the games.EvilPinkamina wrote:Games are the canonical start of sonic and will always be the mainstream Canon universe, while comics, tv, etc are all spin offs and does not qualify as canon.

The games have always had the canonical enemy (eggman/robotnick), the main good guys (sonic, tails), and any other supporting characters, though I do admit the games have some weird continuity errors. I should probably have explained why I feel the games are the true canon though. The games were the start of the Sonic character and his accomplices. Its where the character sonic began, and the game sonic is usually the sonic that people talk about when referring to him, unless otherwise stated by the person. That being said, I'm not denying that the tv/comic versions aren't their own canon within themselves, I just find it annoying when people use things like manga or tv shows to explain something that happens out of that canon (ie saying that Sonic Underground Sonic is the same one that ran through green hill zone in Sonic The Hedgehog).Jeffery Mewtamer wrote:Do the games even have a canon?
