Who here actually cares about talking to the NPCs in SA(DX)?

Well, I do. I actually find it rather fun when playing in my free time, but not when I'm recording. I'm sure there must exist some NPC guide out there somewhere, people DO make those once in a while!

Talking to them gives me a better idea of what's going on in everyone's timeline, and some NPCs actually DO have some interesting stuff to say! Heck, I even spend my time talking to the Echidna Tribe!

Does anyone else find NPCs enjoying at times?
Always happy to see Number and his 12 daughters and 6 sons.

It's one of my favorite things about the game. I like how they change where they are and what they're doing throughout the game.

there's a lot of really obscure and situational NPC dialogue that i like, one example being that if you go back to station square after lost world but before final egg as sonic you can see people talking about the missile launch

there's also a bit of dialogue for the little girl outside the train station if you go back to station square after beating eggman but before going to windy valley

Yep yep yep! Despite me not enjoying it only when making videos, I still find it intriguing to talk to them on every single opportunity. NPCs only having certain dialogue only after a certain thing but directly before a certain other thing and sometimes only for a certain character is annoying, but I'd say worth talking to.

Sometimes some of them don't make sense like "Who was that with the long arms and red body? I think he's headed towards the waterfall" even though Knuckles hasn't even gone to Casinopolis yet. This dialogue appear earlier in Tails Story, but appears appropriately in Sonic's

I wasn't aware you could talk to NPC in this game. Granted, It's been ~4.5 years since my vision got too bad to play video games, I hadn't played SADX for a significant time prior to going blind, and aside from Super Sonic's story, I didn't replay story mode all that often, so it's possible I knew, but forgot.

Though, the above comments regarding NPC who are way off the story path having bits of dialogue that are only accessible in-between events that almost all players will connect the dots on the story path immediately makes me wonder just how many easter eggs are in this game that most players will miss entirely.

That said, SADX might have just passed games containing a TCG for Sonic game I'd most like to read an annotated text dump of.

^There are a couple places that have the NPC dialogue recorded if you really want to read it.

Knuckles doesn't have long arms, that must be about Gamma.

the NPC's were interesting to talk with, but what I enjoyed the most was finding other characters standing on station square.
