My opinion on Shadow the Hedgehog

Shadow in SA2 and SA2B is awesome. Did shadow deserve a game? Maybe. Did shadow get one of the worst games sega has ever made? Yes. Like you said his story has a lot of plot holes but I like the evil gone good thing he did. Every game he was in (except SA2 and SA2B) sucked.

I liked the Shadow the Hedgehog game. The only thing I do wish though is that SEGA would've made up their minds.
"Okay SEGA, we can have a full cussing head ripping gore filled bang bang gun fest, or we can add Charmy the Bee (and other random characters) saying completely unnecessary lines, with a storyline that's just beggin' for unicorns..."

I think though that Shadow as a character needs to remain the mysterious 'bad boy'. We know every detail about Sonic already (He can run at the speed of sound, loves interspecies relationships and chili dogs, can't swim and despises evil), so I think we need someone to keep the mystery balance (Will he betray, or help? Will he exclaim "Damn!" everytime he runs off a cliff? Who knows?!).

And plus, I'm a little tired of the flowery, sugary goodness the others bring to the table. You can only take Big the Cat screaming "Fwoggy! I misplaced you again! Let's go fishing!" and Amy saying "This time Sonic, you'll marry me. Have my babies!" so many times...

You know what's scary. I don't even like Shadow very much anymore. Still my favorite but that's because I don't like most characters.

But that is because I sorta looked back at everything about Shadow and well...yeah. Some things about him I do not like any more

He was angsty before, he was a sonic clone during heroe's, he's an emo after what happened during his spinoff.

I was MAJOR disappointed when I played Shadow the Hedgehog. Easily the worst Sonic game I've ever played. Now, some of you may argue that Shadow the Hedgehog was a good game. Remember, this is my opinion. Please respect the fact that I don't like the game.

Personally, I think (Referring to his personality as it is right now in the timeline, not anything in the past) he's just antisocial. Emo....well, don't you need to be emotional for that? Some sort of emotional, anyway. He doesn't seem depressed or anything. Just....serious, which I think is his natural personality. Not to say Maria's death didn't leave a huge impact, though.

I agree with you Fox boy >.> They did give Shadow WAY to much power. And I agree with the emo thing too. I mean, Shadow is freaking 50 years old! You'd think he would've gotten over it!? (Yes, Shadow is 50 >.>)

and RS, I know eh? if they would've listened to this Fan Base instead, I bet Sonic games would have gone way uphill instead of down!

Shadow in SA2 was freaking awesome. I kind of wish he had stayed dead though, because then he would be on the same tier as Gamma (the we-love-you-rest-in-piece-sweet-prince tier). Bringing him back and giving him the whole amnesia who-am-I-what-happened-in-my-past crap was lame. I loved the Shadow the Hedgehog game for how different and mature it was from the other games in the series, but I hated Shadow's whining. Now, I have more respect for the guy because he looks to the present and future and actually allows himself to have friends.
