Wow, that's pretty awesome. Did you manage to find a way to include two tone shiny chao's without having them just show up as 'bright', or will we have to bear through that for now?

I haven't looked into that much. It's probably just how the game is.

I suggest that you focus on the SADX:2007 and the SA2HD since we all waiting to get a hold of it now that SA2HD is out on the PC. Also, wait until the SADX:2010 .exe is decrypted as well.

At least be happy he does all this for you. He has a life too, you know. His life isn't dedicated to making this chao editor. He says he's nearly done, and I honestly expected he was far from finishing it.

This. Impatience was the main issue with Sonic 06, we don't want our precious Chao Editor being as bad as Sonic 06, do we?

Anyways, here's some suggestions:

On sliders such as Age, Run/Swim;Power/Flight, Hunger, etc., you could include a lock in which it always at that value even during gameplay. This makes stat raising alot quicker, since a forever hungry Chao can reach lvl99 in no time at all.

If you're editing the chao anyways, why not just edit it's stats and not make it permahungry? :wink:

I think you can raise your stamina manually, so I don't see why you would need permahunger.

Would be a nice feature though.

I would like it on the amplifier slider one (you know,the one that is 0 to 1.2) and the longevity slider,because we can mess with the polygon of the chao (with the stat slider) without the chao evolve or die/reincarnate.

That too, since your chao might become immortal that way (it can still be sick though). Same with Happiness and grade as well.

Fusion's Chao Editor 2.0 released!

I'm now releasing the second version of my editor. The biggest change is that I've added support for the Steam version of Sonic Adventure DX, as well as the recently released Sonic Adventure 2 (also on Steam). I've therefore renamed the program from Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor to simply Fusion's Chao Editor.

There are also many more settings available now, including chao personality, health, classroom skills, toys, seeds, and more. Most of these new settings work on both SADX and SA2B, as SADX seems to be aware of most of SA2B's content. So for example, you can now give your chao in SADX the animal abilities or toys from SA2B.

The full list of changes is below.

Features:
  • Added support for the recently released Sonic Adventure 2.
  • Added support for the Steam version of Sonic Adventure DX.
  • Added support for the following SADX game settings:
    • Personality.
    • SA2B's animal behaviours.
    • SA2B's classroom skills.
    • SA2B's toys.
    • DNA stat grades.
  • Added support for the following SA2B game settings:
    • Personality.
    • Health and sickness.
    • Classroom skills.
    • Toys.
    • Animal chao.
    • Seeds.
    • DNA stat grades.
    • Most other settings that already existed for SADX.
Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug with the character bond sliders for Big and E-102 Gamma, which were the wrong way round.
  • Fixed a bug with the animal behaviour settings, where they could not be properly removed in-game while the editor was running.
  • Fixed a bug where "Good" or "Bad" type chao would not be displayed correctly in the chao list.
  • Removed the option to add the regular fruit, pumpkin hat, and skull hat to the Black Market, as purchasing them could crash SADX. They can still be added to the garden directly.
  • Slightly modified the behaviour of the animal, fruit, and hat settings to prevent game crashes from occurring in rare cases.
Improvements:
  • Significantly improved start-up time.
  • The tooltips for slider controls now display the slider's value, so that it is easier to tell exactly what value it has.
  • A message is now displayed while checking for updates.
  • Improved the use of icons throughout the program.
  • Changed some of the colour names so they match the current game.
  • Improved some of the SADX animal behaviour descriptions.
  • Improved the help and information text and fixed some mistakes.
  • Renamed the application from "Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor" to simply "Fusion's Chao Editor", now that it supports multiple games.

I wanted to include something like a "Chao Storage" section in the program, where you could store away your chao and transfer them between games. However, I decided to just release it as it is now, and might implement that in a future version instead. For now, you can transfer your chao between SADX and SA2B by either copying and pasting the chao, or by saving it to a .chao file and then loading it back up. I haven't done much testing with transferring chao between the two games, so I can't guarantee it will work correctly, but from what I've seen it appears to work fine.

The newest version of Fusion's Editor is absolutely brilliant. It lets you modify pretty much everything about a Chao, just like V1 but better. You can modify everything from a chao's favorite fruit, to it's nature, and even the contents of the black market (removed fruits!). To test it I modified the black market to give me a standard egg for free, then I modded the Chao to be all S with max stats, along with a few other things like having all things learnt. I then put it into the dark garden, all in the editor. Bravo Fusion for another wonderful piece of software, useful to hardcore Chao fans, and even those of the Sonic community that just can't be bothered taking the time to make a Chao to get the last few emblems. Bravo! :D

WOO-HOO! Assuming the two Steam Sonic Adventure ports are more like the Gamecube version as opposed to the XBox one (which I have heard is more constrictive with Chao combos), I am *definitely* going to get Mom's credit card to buy it online - as soon as I get my computer working again. My Internet browser is frozen (but everything else is good), but it's something that an Operating System wipe couldn't fix! :no: So, I have to take it in the shop, meaning I can only talk while I have free time at school.
