Chao Gardens

There are three Chao gardens for your Chao to live in. (Please note that these pictures show the gardens for Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast).
The Dreamcast version has bigger, and in my opinion nicer gardens than the Gamecube version. The Gamecube gardens still have the same themes, but the Dreamcast ones have slightly different landscapes (eg. a cliff in the dark garden).

At first, there is only one garden available. This is just the normal Chao Garden. More become available once you begin to raise some Chao.

Once you create a Hero Chao, the Hero garden becomes available. And when you create a Dark Chao, the Dark garden becomes available.

The Normal Garden
The Normal Garden
This Garden is the first garden you will have access to. This Garden contains two Chao eggs, which you will have to hatch.
Also in this Garden is the entrance to the Chao Race Stadium which you will find under the waterfall.
You can find the Pumpkin Hat in this Garden for your Chao to wear, by digging around with Knuckles or Rouge.

The Hero Garden
The Hero Garden
You unlock the Hero Garden when you create a Hero Chao! This Garden floats on pink clouds and the center is marked by a fountain.
Like the Normal Garden, you can also find the pumpkin hat here for your Chao to wear.

The Dark Garden
The Dark Garden
You can unlock the Dark Garden by creating a Dark Chao! This Garden is filled with Tombs and Graves including what can only be described as a blood filled pool. This haunted Garden is quite unique!
You can get the skull hat in this garden for your Chao to wear, again by digging with Knuckles or Rouge.

There is NO Chaos Chao Garden, Angel Garden, Devil Garden, or anything of the sort. The three gardens shown on this page are the only ones avaliable.
