I personally find FinalHazard to be a pushover. I have beaten the 'Last' Mode on Boss Battles. I was dreading the Biolizard, but it wasn't a problem either, strangely enough. I died on both Shadow's Gun Walker and Rouge's Gun Flyer - and that was it.

I'm afraid it's impossible. Just save before you enter the Nocturne Citadel, and beat Ix. It's not that hard, the worst fight is the first, and the easiest is the last.
