Paulie overheard the fight between Bruno and Zero and walked to where they were to find out what was happening.

However, the bucket of water failed to awaken Paulie from his unconsciousness.

Just then, Paulie collapsed and fainted from the injuries that he had sustained while escaping.

"I'm from a Chao colony that was on a floating island. But the island started to fall and many Chao died. I managed to escape but not unharmed. Are you from this city? What happened here?"
