Re: Unspoiling a chao...?

In order to research further into how certain hatching methods and caring methods affect personality, one would be best off using an emulator, preferably with hacks, and test the same thing several times in order to find consistency. If hacks are applied, correlation is easier to see. For now, we on...

Re: Bully Chao

I've seen a video of a dark Chao attacking Knuckles on YouTube and have no reason to believe it's faked. I think it's alignment-specific, as in only dark can perform the action like the angry stomping (except Wacky, but he was manually made do it). It requires abuse, and I think it may have to do wi...

Re: Chronicling the trials to a perfect stat, All-S Chaos Ch

Actually, most of the time when you pet a Chao while it's still doing the "falling asleep" animation, it'll react as if nothing happened (probably because it wasn't "asleep" yet) and walk away. If you leave it alone, it'll fall asleep as soon as it stops walking, but you can make it finish the curre...

Re: Unspoiling a chao...?

I used to get it often before I started throwing. Actually, all of my current crybabies were shaken. I have had some unsaved Chao from breeding that had it from throwing.
I find that throwing is good for getting the energetic personality.

Re: Chronicling the trials to a perfect stat, All-S Chaos Ch

The personalities don't affect performance, but big eater is useful because force feeding is easier, raising stamina and evolving the Chao faster. Intelligence and luck should be maxed, as they each increase by about 2 squares for every animal given, regardless of which animal. It takes five to incr...

Re: Unspoiling a chao...?

While some have stated that the crybaby personality is obtained by spoiling, I haven't found any evidence to support it. I think somebody just made an assumption to try to explain something that little research has been done on. I haven't found any correlation between how a Chao is treated and its p...

Re: Second Evolution

Yes, but run animals don't raise swim (probably because Sonic can't swim). I'm sorry if mine seemed like a correction to yours. Leveling the Chao keeps it from being a nuisance and drowning, while also helping it reach its full potential and giving a head start to its future lives. Either way works....

Re: Second Evolution

Time doesn't matter. Go ahead! To be sure you get a Sonic Chao, follow this process: First, level him up. This will mess up the evolution if done later. Then, give him 40 green animals or 80 green Chaos Drives. Extras are okay. Give him the same in fly. This will ensure that the stat influence is wh...

Re: How do you raise your Chao before it evolves

Well, I'm a bit OCD, so I have a process I go through with every Chao I get. First, I hatch the egg by throwing (better personalities!) and take them to the health center to find out which grade is lowest. I will evolve it into that type (except if it's fly. I love fly types, but I have like ten of ...

Re: Is shininess dominant?

I'm gonna bump this to show some things that may assist the answer. The mating of a heterozygous shiny Chao and a Chao who did not carry shininess resulted in approximately 50/50 results, which would point to dominance. I was taking note the whole time, and although I'd love to post the results, the...

Re: Has any research been done on personality?

Well, I guess I should report some things I've found. Throwing the egg has a higher chance of energetic and short-tempered personalities. This proves the rumor that throwing the egg produces an active Chao partially true. Some personalities shift more often than others. I haven't found any correlati...

Re: Only one egg set in Black Market

Actually, you might not have enough emblems to see your second set. You should start seeing them later. Keep checking and they might appear. If you want a sky blue egg, then that's in the red set, and you have the yellow set and room for one more set. If you get the blue egg, then your second set is...

Heh, I do most of my thinking at 3 a.m., and although it's only 2:30, I've actually come up with a name for her: definitely Murder. I came up with it while asking a lengthy question about personality. Sorry! But, if it makes any difference, I've decided to use Peridot (fave btw) as her medal. I was ...

Has any research been done on personality?

Nothing (that I can find) on the site says anything about a Chao's personality. I've found sites that seem to have in-depth information, but when you read it, you can see that it is mostly untrue, detailed things somebody obviously made up. The reason I am asking is that recently, I obtained a Chao ...

Well, I have another new Chao that needs naming, and I didn't want to start a new thread. This one's a lime green two-tone that will evolve into dark run/power with dragon wings. Colors will be the same as the basic and can be seen in the gallery. He's got an evil smile and the highest grades of any...

Re: What's up with my chao?

These are symptoms of hunger. If you do feed them a lot, then this shouldn't happen... What version are you using? Are you using any mods/cheats/hacks? Sometimes that can have minor unforeseen effects on a Chao's behavior. What I would recommend is to increase the available food. With that many Chao...

Haha, I think I'm gonna be fine. I'm just all stressed out is all. I use the 3rd Pumpkin Hill mission to calculate how bad my skills are at any given moment, and I missed platforms and rockets like you wouldn't believe. It sort of boosted my confidence; beating it several times, as well as breaking ...

Metal Harbor wants me dead

When you start to fill a memory card's gardens, you pull out childhood cards and discover "Oh, that Chao still exists" and "I never completed that level?" Well, I moved in Nebula (as a newborn) in with my childhood sumo Chao on a different memory card a few weeks back. Things were going good until t...

Re: So yesterday a friend of mine tried to say that

Animal Crossing was semi-spherical Actually, the series was entirely flat until Wild World, and the cover art shows the world being round. That was the first game that allowed you to see the sky as well. Due to this, the harvest moon festival thing is rather sad, with all of the villagers gathered ...

Re: Is shininess dominant?

Hmmm, yes. More research. Heh. Well, as for the hidden grades, it seems like it would make sense for the child to always inherit the higher grade. Since it's hidden, you can't check it without leveling/racing, and it would make things a lot easier if that were the case. But, there's no way to know f...

I recently bred a Chao that was (more than likely) homozygous for shininess with a pure normal Chao. I bred them 14 times, and each result was shiny. Offspring of the two Chao, in order: Shiny Silver Yellow Shiny Silver Purple Shiny Monotone Yellow Shiny Silver Purple Shiny Monotone Purple Shiny Mon...
