Oh I'm somehow guessin the level from Sonic 2 will be Chemical Plant Zone.
NOT GUESSING WITHOUT A REASON :P
If you look closely at the classic version of City Escape, you can see those black speed pads aswell as those red kicker/jumper things from Chemical Plant Zone.

Edit: "PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"

The newer version of City Escape is pretty great.
I love how the autotuned bit is from Sonic 3's Endless Mine stage.

This may seem a bit weird but...
If city escape and some other old levels are back, and omochao is back.... Do you think chao will be back too?

Possibly, but I doubt it. They're bringing back old levels and referencing things because this game is celebrating the history of the Sonic games. The Chao in Space 2 poster and Omochao's appearance are probably all we're going to get. We haven't seen any animals, Chaos Drives, or Chao World keys collected in the videos so far.

Frankly, no. I don't think there's been enough of a push for chao to come back for Sega to have chao anywhere near their agenda.
If I had something witty or particularly creative to say, it would go here.

E3: Sonic Generations Q&A With Takashi Iizuka.

Edit: E3 2011 Preview: Sonic Generations
Closing off the presentation, the team was asked whether or not any of the Sonic Colors powers would be included in Generations. ‘If we include a Sonic Colors level in Generations, you could expect there be Colors powers,’ they responded.
It sounds like we'll be seeing power-ups that are exclusive to different levels; this is similar to how Sonic Colours only had the fish shield in Aquarium Park. The skateboard that we've seen in City Escape is probably one of these level-exclusive power-ups. Perhaps we'll see something like the lightning shield or the fire shield brought back.

Andriasang reports that the Sonic Generations demo will be released both on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live tomorrow. The demo will include Classic Sonic’s Green Hill Zone stage and will only be available to download until July 12th, then after that date any downloads of the demo will expire, so make sure you take it for a spin before then. The demo, like the full game, is also said to support 3D TV’s.

I'm downloading the demo as I type, so exciting!

EDIT: This demo is so freakin (is that word allowed?) awesome! It only includes Classic Sonic, and it feels jut like playing one of the old games, if not, better! The controls feel great, react well, the level green hill, looks great, so clear in HD. The game has a great sense of speed, and the music is great too. I love the way Classic Sonic moves about, just like the old games. I could keep going on, but you probably get the idea. :)

It was so easy.

All they had to do was put old levels and make it a new game and the fanbase would finally shut up.

The morale of the story kids, sometimes you don't have to be creative.
