is the chao garden in sonic chronicles good?

i just want to know cuz i want to get teh game but first i want to know what people think about teh chao garden.

Don't have it but I've seen vids. You can't raise them, you FIND them, and they help you in levels.

IT ISN'T A CHAO GARDEN!! It is just a place where you manage your chao. You do nothing with them! They just are used in battle and give you a few bonuses. They are basically just equipment!
