Sonic: Lost World coming to Wii U and 3DS

Even though I currently lack both a 3DS or a WiiU I'm interested in Lost World. Even though the Deadly Six don't look scary, they have really interesting appearances in my opinion. Plus they may have a more scarier form later in the game; who knows. I found it very nice that in the beginning of the video it shows the classic animals of Mobuis running around. The birds, chickens, rabbits, and pigs. I would call them by name but I forgotten them. ^^; It just hit nostalgia for me to see them running around in 3D like that.
The camera angles in the video however gave me a headache trying to follow Sonic.

Don't think so.

The GamePad will also play a role in ‘Support Mode,’ which allows one player to use Wii Remote and Nunchuk to assist a second player who is already controlling Sonic with the Wii U GamePad. Speaking of playing as Sonic, while the iconic hedgehog is the only character players will directly control, friends such as Tails, Knuckles and Amy will make appearances in the story.

It's more of Nintendo's lazy reliance on support mode rather than innovative co-op.

^Sinister Six certaintly sounds cooler, if only because of alliteration, but this is Sonic Team we are talking about, did you really expect Grade-A character development and naming?

One of them looks depressed and is holding a blue rose? Calling it now: that character will be some generic incarnation of the hopeless romantic, obsessed with beauty, ambiguously gay, of emo bishounen.

The game is actually looking quite good.
I'm glad that Sonic Team are sticking to the simple group of Tails/Knuckles/Amy being Sonic's allies, some of the friends he had around in previous games like Shadow were pretty much overshadowing him (no pun intended) from the game itself.

I just hope that the game presents a valid reason for Knuckles' presence during Lost World in the first place.

Now this is the innovation I've been waiting for. I'm in love with the mechanics presented in that video. The awfully sloppy automated speed mechanics have been finely tuned into something enjoyable and the parkour makes perfect sense for Sonic and his momentum. Level design looks extremely inspired and smart, with 2D Sonic being creatively pulled off in 3D in a variety of ways. Camera also moves at a reasonable pace without being affected by the irritating gravity system that was present in Mario Galaxy. In fact, other than aesthetics, the games have nothing in common. I'm glad that rather than pulling a Nintendo and pandering to nostalgia without presenting a worthwhile experience, we have something that, while inspired by Classic games, can stand alone as a brand new feel for the franchise. And using wisp powers from one of the most critically acclaimed Sonic games is a great marketing move. I am extremely impressed.

There is absolutely nothing bad about this game so far. *.* Need it need it need it need it need it! It looks amazing, gameplay looks fun, and I can finally see more wisps in action since I've never played colors!

Is it weird that this game didn't REALLY impress me? I've had a hype for Colors and Generations, but this time... this didn't seemed to give me a very big hype. But oh well, it'll be like Sonic colors anyway.

You should take a closer look at the mechanics and stage design. About the only thing this game has in common with Colors is Wisp powers. There are forward segments in some levels, but the developers have shown a parkour system and a much slower movement speed to suit traversing a multi-plane environment as well as a platforming focused transportation as opposed to high speed knee-jerk motions. There are at least three different level types that we've seen so far.

The red guy: Zavok (Sounds suspiciously like the word "havoc" doesn't it?)
The pink guy: Zazz (I like his name.)
The green girl: Zeena (It's fitting.)
The blue guy: Zik (Eh...)
The yellow guy: Zomom (THIS is the name that I hate. I can't even say it without cringing, ugh!)
The pale guy: Zor (Um...)
