If you thought the Nekopara OVA was enough to satiate your anime-specific catgirl cravings, an invaluable crown jewel that is buried deep within the archives of popular video-sharing service, YouTube, in the form of a high-budget, although moderately obscure short animated series, is just waiting to be discovered by man. I would even go so far as to say that it is the epitome of excellence, and the pinnacle of modern entertainment media, creative visual arts, and more specifically, Japanese-oriented hand-drawn animation. Please, grab yourself some buttered popcorn, a carbonated beverage, and kick back and relax while you revel in the beauty of this technical marvel. Enjoy:

Honestly, I think Boku no Pico is truly a masterpiece, Miyazaki truly knew what he was doing with that film.

Although it sucked the life out of him.

Just look at him.

Yes, Boku no Pico is an exemplary piece of art in its own right. However, Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls is uncontested in terms of its extraordinarily high production value and enjoyment factor; it would be wise for Miyazaki-san to whip out his notepad and derive some inspiration from it. I just made a video based on my previous post that took me a few hours to make, but it was time well wasted. Feast your eyes and ears.

I've been really enjoying Assassination Classroom and JJBA recently, I would recommend either of them to people who haven't seen them

Just finished reading One Outs, well I say finished. There were 7 more "extra" chapters that I honestly couldn't be bothered to read, and I just said it's finished. If anyone enjoys Baseball and Gambling put together, make sure you watch/read it. I'm sure you'll love it.

I also started reading Strongest Man Kurosawa, a manga about a 44 year old man who just wants to be loved by his coworkers and be popular, but every attempt at being a nice guy or doing nice things backfires (For example, he told all his coworkers to stop work to drink beer and take the rest of the day off. Thinking he'd become super popular because of it, he went away to get snacks, and when he came back not a single person drank the beer and thought it was a really weird and cringe worthy gesture. Isolating him more). Even outside his job.

It's a really sad manga that I'm sure a lot of people could relate to or understand. The first chapter starts on his birthday as well, which no one mentions and he spends 3 hours in a crappy restaurant to "celebrate".

Anime wise, I've started to watch Cromartie High School, Black Lagoon and a cool anime from the 80's called "Armour Hunter Mellowlink" which is about a guy who lost his whole squad due to commanders negligence and wants revenge. So the whole show is about a kid with a massive rifle taking out huge Gundam by himself. It's pretty good.

Oh, when it comes to manga, Yomesan ha Moe Mangaka, and Mamasan ha Moe Mangaka, look good. The lack of ruby text/furigana makes it look a bit overwhelming, but I wanna get around to reading what I can find. It's an autobiographical comedy by Koge Donbo.

Which, speaking of her, I need to go hunt down and read the volumes of Kamichama Karin I don't own, it was nice. Actually, I should probably spend a day rereading the various comics I do own. :herowalk:

To add onto Kurosawa, he is currently standing up to three pro wrestlers in a suit of armour that he made himself, decked out with spikes, a steel pipe that has nails in it, and a small compartment on there which contains his poop which he has now thrown at the pro wrestlers.

It's good guys, give it a read.

Started my episode-by-episode comparison of the Nelvana and Animax dubs of Cardcaptor Sakura. Currently up to the low 10s with the last episode I compared being the one that introduces Tomoyo's mother and that Sakura and Tomoyo are second cousins. Naturally, the Nelvana dub rewrites Sakura's parents relationship from having started as student-teacher to them being highschool sweet hearts and omits the cousins line without being very convincing in covering up that Tomoyo's mom totally had a crush on Sakura's mom.

Also, I've been reading the Etsusa Bridge series, currently about halfway through the third of five volumes, and I plan to read Vamp! once I'm done. Would like to Read Baccano! and Durarara!, but the translation I'm reading is by a guy who unpublishes his fan translation once a series gets licensed, and getting digital texts through official sources, when available, tends to present a challenge.

Winter 2017 Anime Watching List:
  • Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid - It's probably the best this season, if not this year.
  • Masamune-kun's Revenge - Plenty of fun, with the protagonist reminding me of the protagonist from Blue Blazes.
  • Fuuka - I heard the manga is good, but the anime isn't all that great. Watching for a friend.
Recently Finished:
  • My Hero Academia - Shouldn't be allowed to be as inspiring as it is.
Currently Watching:
  • Cowboy Bebop - It didn't look interesting as a kid, but I'm definitely enjoying it as an adult.

Right now we're watching Working!! which I've seen before but it's one of my favorite shows and Sable and Nano both were cool with watching it with me
On my own I'm watching Maid Dragon and Yugioh season 0
Just finished rewatching Blue Exorcist season 1 so I plan on starting season 2 soon whenever I'm not bombarded with schoolwork

I've fallen down another rabbit hole of Harry Potter Fanfiction(any other fandom, I usually find only one or a few fanfics of significant length(>100k words) at a time I want to read, but with HP, it feels like I always find them by the dozen), which has distracted me from media related to the other Island nation of note. Notably, my episode-by-episode comparison of the Nelvana and Animax dubs of Cardcaptor Sakura has stalled around episode 12 or 13. I'm still reading the Etsusa bridge series in-between HP fics and currently on the third chapter of the last volume(I'm enjoying it, but the chapters are too long for my liking, which hurts my ability to just read constantly) with plans to start Vamp! shortly after finishing.

I know no one really browses CI anymore and we all just use it to funpost, but like all sites with funposting actual discussion occurs.

Anime wise, I've been watching Armor Hunter Mellowlink on and off, should complete it soon. In addition to that I've also started watching "Android Ana Maico 2010" which is about a radio station that the very first android radio DJ in the world. It's pretty good, and all the characters play each other and the android off well. It's unique and has it's share of humour and cuteness with the Android trying to act human.

Manga wise, I've been reading a Billiards manga of all things, called Breakshot. Not much to say here, I've also been reading Oyasumi Punpun, but even I don't know what that's truly about.
