This just in

US uses propaganda because people willfully follow it.

People still listen to corrupt media so long as they're funny comedians

You mean the CIA hasn't already been spying on the Internet for years?

Though, realistically, how can we stop such abuses from Government agencies?

Aside from Elections, there aren't many ways to hold politicians accountable for their actions, and even then, the current electoral system seems all but rigged to maintain the status quo, and even if you fixed the glaring problems with US elections, you still have the problem of most voters being too apathetic to make the most of their vote if they bother to vote at all.

And even if we somehow got a decent to good person into every single elected office, I'm not convinced the elected parts of the government have the raw manpower to keep all of the non-elected part in line, not with how massively bloated the bureaucracy has become.

Granted, you could probably blast the corrupt government agencies into oblivion, but how likely is it that someone who wants to make the US a better place will both have the resources to do such and can bring themselves to justify mass murder in the name of the greater good? I also doubt any organization that wants to hurt the US and is smart enough to pose an actual threat would be dumb enough to target parts of the government that are self-destructive to the American people.

I've been convinced They've been watching me for so long that I don't really care anymore. So I can only react to things like this with mild surprise, if anything at all.
