You haven't been the best since people learned to backstab medics and push away rockets.
Re: Team Fortress 2 class tier list
Why don't we all just take it to S(P)UF

You used 'you' and 'you don't' while I used 'people' implying that everyone did it.

This post is actually true to you.
I have only played Team Fortress 2 for about 40 hours and I could disprove this list and redo it myself even better and superior to what ever you think is true.

Re: Team Fortress 2 class tier list
^Oh shut up. Everyone has their own preferences in their Skill in TF2 Classes. If you're just going to criticize mine, Why do't you criticize others?
@Fox: Just leave iDontknow alone. It's true that you've never seen him play. So your argument is invalid iDK, you should stop arguing too. Fox is just that way. His cold-hearted personality is unpleasant, but just ignore him.
Also, i'm guessing most ppl who post here play TF2, which most likely means they have Steam accounts. In case anyone wants to Add me, my Steam Name is in the FC thread.

Re: Team Fortress 2 class tier list
Yes, but they're wrong.
Firstly you're putting the Demoman in the lowest tier, the Demoman requires much more skill to use, he's also a tactical character since he can throw sticky bombs onto certain places and detonate them, he can also flush out some campers or people in a building due to the sticky bombs.
Scout requires very little skill to use, he's only good for getting intelligence and capping points, his shotgun could be considered over powered and is used by the new characters as he uses a weapon that is easy to use and easy to get kills with, and due to his low health he can die easily.
Heavy and Pyro are fine, they're both good characters and if used correctly can be very useful to the team.
Sniper doesn't really do much all he does is distract the other snipers in 2fort, and that's about it, the Sniper in general isn't a very tactical class in helping the team win, and all he can really do is just pick off some people being stupid from afar, or he could kill the person with the intelligence, but if they are smart they would avoid open areas.
Soldier is fine, he's offensive and defensive, Engineer is fine, he's a mainly defensive character so that's right, Spy is also a defensive infiltrator, so he's in the right tier.
However Medic...
He is very useful in helping the team, he not only heals the characters but can ubercharge them at the same time as well as increase their health, he can also heal people trying to cap a point, or grab the intelligence and run with it, so he should be moved up a tier.
Apart from all these problems it's fine.

Re: Team Fortress 2 class tier list
Here's where my TF2 prowess comes into play.
You see, I've played Team Fortress 2 more than anybody here, totaling over 1,000 hours of play.
Now, all of you are wrong.
Each Class is completely equal.
Scout is the mobility Class. He runs fast, excels at 1-on-1 fights, and caps at twice the rate of other Classes (unless they have the Pain Train equipped).
However, Scout does require skill, as he only has 125 health (110 if used with the Sandman equipped), meaning so much as two rockets can stop him in his tracks. He is not simply a "one-hit kill meatshot run around fast" class. Any smart players will know that you have to use the Scout's mobility to your advantage in order to get kills. Don't plan on running up to somebody and killing them with one shot. One more thing - that "shotgun" he uses is called a Scattergun.
The Soldier is the most general class, while at the same time being the most unique. With multiple weapons like the Cow Mangler 5000, the Direct Hit, the Buff Banner, and the Reserve Shooter, there are many options, but the same idea is there: long-range prowess. The only person I've ever seen say that the Soldier isn't a good class, and that is Red Chao, who obviously just put him there (along with the Engineer, Spy, Medic and Demoman) because he constantly gets killed by them.
The Pyro I won't discuss, mainly because he is either completely underpowered or monstrously overpowered. If you use the Phlogistinator or Backburner, shame on you and start using more than W, and if you use the Axtinguisher or Flare Gun plus the Degreaser, than I suggest trying to use the Gas Jockey set and another completely different secondary, such as the Detonator.
Demoman is an area denial class. He has the Grenade Launcher, which is the only weapon besides the Syringe Gun that fires projectiles that move in arcs. Then he has the Stickybomb Launcher, which he can detonate at any second. He certainly does not suck, as he is mainly meant for Defense, but to help him with 1-on-1 combats, he has the aforementioned Grenade Launcher. If you think he sucks, then man up and play something other than Heavy or Sniper.
Heavy Weapons Guy is the mow-down class. With his Minigun he can take down any opponent, even other Heavies, as long as he has the ability to stay mobile. However, he is easy and obvious prey for the Spy and Sniper. While the Tomislav, Sandvich, and G.R.U. have all turned him into a horribly overpowered Fun-sucker, he's still the main class to use to halt a push.
The Engineer is the backbone of any good team. He helps his partners reach the frontline, provides them with health and ammo when needed, and can take over a whole section of the map with his Sentry gun. Not much more to say about him, unless you want to bring up the Gunslinger. One thing that everybody agrees on, though, is that he completely breaks the pace of Capture the Flag.
The Medic is an amazing class. If you think he's crap, stop playing Valve servers, kid. Those are known new user and F2P breeding grounds.
Sniper and Spy are both important to the team. The Sniper can instantly take out any class with a little aim and patience, and the Spy can take out an Engineer nest in 5 seconds flat. They do indeed require skill, in order to deal with larger threats - enemies closing in for Sniper, and enemies who see through disguises (especially Pyros) for Spy.
Now, this is just vanilla, there are many other options if you consider the hundreds of weapons.

Because there's not TLDR and I only have like 10 minutes before I get tired and sleep, I'll just talk about this.Spam90675 wrote:Here's where my TF2 prowess comes into play.

1500 hours right here. Your argument is invalid.
Re: Team Fortress 2 class tier list
My argument doesn't revolve around me having more playtime. It revolves around the amassed knowledge I have of the game. Plus, not to brag, but I am a constant of the Team Fortress Wiki. I do more than just trade hats, y'know.iDontKnow wrote:Spam90675 wrote: 1500 hours right here. Your argument is invalid.

Considering both the fact that you have yet to make any argument and your history with the other members of the forum, I take it I won't get a valid argument from you.
