I just bought L.A. Noire
It's about to finish downloading on steam, so can anybody tell me how good this game is, and what I should expect and what not to expect?

Dad's got it for 360. It's fun to him, I'm not allowed to play. But he loves it. Once you're up past level 2 you start getting semi-constant Street Crime, which is like the stuff you did back in level 1 and 2. There's some twists, like in Chapter 3 (not gonna spoil it) but they make it fun.

Its a pretty cool game Ive had it since december and the graphics in it a pretty cool. The only parts that I found a little hard were the parts where you have to read peoples expressions.

You mean the entire point of the game.
Anyhow, L.A. Noire is a great game, brilliant atmosphere, great characters, great voice actors, amazing OST, everything is great about it.
Well....except the entire point of the game, the entire point is to ask people questions, and see if they're lying, you doubt their question, or if they're telling the truth.
Problem is, this is not done correctly. Let me take an early case I did.
I went to a wife's house, and searched it, after a lengthy search, I found these glasses that were broken and repaired with tape. I soon went to the wife, and asked her questions, one question was about these glasses.
When she answered, she said these glasses were in great condition, and never broke. I immediately said she was lying and presented the repaired glasses, but I was wrong. For some reason, Phelps wanted to say that she was the killer, and that if she didn't stop lying he'd take her down to the police station for questioning.
This happens a lot all the time, I have to use a guide when I **** up a witness.
Best part about it is, in the beginning you don't use the lie option, and eventually Doubt becomes your lie option for about 8 cases, then when it is put into play, you never choose it, and this affects how the case turns out.
Hell common sense doesn't even work sometime, when you think someone is telling the truth, they're lying.
It's a great game, but it's annoying a lot of the time.

Expect the homicide cases, some nasty stuff as you expect.
Overall, I love the game, I need to complete it though. Maybe over the weekend or something.
It's a difficult game, for me, at least.

I have main character tendencies.
Keep ya head up; things look bad a lot, but you're worth it, I assure you.
