How many of you guys actually own a Dreamcast?

Since this site started out for a game that was for the DC, I'm wondering just how many of you have one and are true sanic fans.

I've had mine since 1999, and I still play on it.

I had no interest in SEGA at the time of the DC's release because I'd never played any of their franchises nor did I know anything but the old Genesis existed. The first SEGA published game I touched was SAB2 in 2002 when I was about ten years old. Nintendo and Sony products were all I purchased, so I only owned a N64 and PS1 from 1997 until 2002.

I wish I had paid more attention back then.

Yeah, we got one somewhat recently. We actually had one way back when, but it broke or something.
My father got Sonic Adventure for me, and I got SoulCalibur and Chu Chu Rocket. We also have Speed Devils or whatever left over from a long time ago, but I haven't touched it, of course.

We also only have one controller at the moment.

Nope, never had a system that wasn't created by Nintendo. My first Sonic game was for the Game Boy Advance.

Well actually some relatives gave me a really old Genesis with a copy of Sonic 2, but we could never figure out how to make it work.

As far as I'm aware, we only had consoles by nintendo, sony and microsoft. I didn't even know sega systems existed before I entered this site.

Never got a Dreamcast. It was a 'this system or that system' situation so we went with something else.

I forget what at the time. All I remember is that the Dreamcast didn't appeal to me and my brother.

didn't have one. i remember wanting one, though! my mom's friend's kids had one, and they played SA on it pretty often when i'd come over. that was my first encounter with chao. ha. i thought VMUs were reallllllllly cool.

Besides a Genesis with only 3 games I remember and a Playstation 3, I've only had Nintendo consoles. I do own every Sonic game for Gamecube and Wii though.

Surprised I never posted in this thread previously, but I have never owned any Sega Harware, and a Genesis and Gamegear are the only Sega hardware I have ever played a game on actual hardware(I have seen a Sonic the Fighters arcade cabinet, but never played due to lacking pocket change at the time).

If I ever invested in a piece of retro hardware, it would probably be either a Naomi(Sega's Dreamcast-derived arcade machine or a Saturn.

that's a stupendously huge bump, but I'll just let it go on record that I'm no longer trying to sell my Dreamcast. I'll probably get a few more games for it in the future, including Mars Matrix if I can get my hands on it.
