Overwatch

So I'll probably be getting on this Overwatch hype by Friday, or Thursday by the earliest.

Could someone point me in the direction of where to sign up and stuff, I haven't really looked into Overwatch much. Just wanted to play it with Fox, Crash and possibly you as well Nova.

First you gotta download Battle.net, Blizzard's Steam basically, and make an account for it, and then you can just install Overwatch when the game is available.

Also brag about your Loot uncrates. I've gotten literally nothing of note except a Reaper Highlight intro and a few recolour (blue) skins meanwhile Aidan/Fox has around 6 legendary skins (purple), 3 epic skins (yellow), and a bunch of emotes that I desperately want.

So, uh, this game. Pretty fun. I killed 4 people in a row as D. Va then killed 1 more with her ult. Got play of the game. Good **** right there.

I got a 15 killstreak as D.Va in one of the first few games I played! My first actual game (where I didn't have a ping of 400 because I was pocketing Fox) I got a 10 killstreak and POTG as Widowmaker.

Pretty certain I'll be buying this game now.

Anyone know if killstreaks are just kills or kills + assists?

I was playing this earlier and got a lot of killstreaks but I swear I was mostly getting assists.

There are no kills or assists. There are eliminations (participating in an enemy death in any way) and killing blows. Killstreaks result from elimination streaks.

I assume assists too, because the game often says "eliminated player" even if your name isn't in the killfeed

Eliminations are basically assists. Assists (Eliminations) count for killstreaks and count as kills for all intents and purposes.

I'm not sure I like that, but I guess it does get rid of people shouting KS.

Considering the game is a team-focused shooter, it's incredibly important.

Now the focus is less on "who has the most kills" and "who's not contributing any kills even if they're a medic/Mercy" and more on "what's dying and what can we do because they died".

I take back any comments I made out of spite for tf2's sake about this game, its so much fun and I can't wait until its actually released.

I understand its benefits towards the health of the game and changes people's inclinations from individualistic and self-serving to teamplay and objective oriented, but at what cost? Sick feeds. And that's what's important.

But, good game. It plays really smooth and Mercy's dash is the single most fun ability I've ever seen on a heal bot.

Opened up a loot crate and got two legendary skins, but my luck is not that good, for they were the same skin.

Thoughts?

My only complaints are in regard to the low server refresh rate, causing many deaths where there shouldn't have been deaths, and the lack of team balancing. Almost every game would be my team (mainly level 10-20) against an enemy team (usually level 30+) which means we get steamrolled. I understand matchmaking in teams (as that's how I played quite a few games) but it's just not fair to match a group of level 10-20s with level 30-40s time and time again. I also hate having to fight Mei

I think the most satisfying moment I had was when I was fighting a Mei as Junkrat. I got w+m1'd as per usual but managed to throw down the sticky before getting frozen. I get frozen, but detonate it and the Mei is sent flying off a cliff before she can land the easy headshot!

I don't really expect a good matchmaking system during beta. It will probably be much better when the game goes live.
