Re: Favourite game from:
RPGs use to make up the bulk of my gaming by time if not by number of games, so I'm not even going to try to narrow this down to a single game.
Favorite Final Fantasy-like RPG Franchise: Golden Sun with The Lost Age being my favorite installment of the franchise.
Favorite Mon RPG Franchise: Pokemon(with favorite installment being a toss-up between Emerald, FireRed, Platinum, and SoulSilve(note:I haven't played BW2, XY, or ORAS)).
Favorite non-Pokemon mon RPG: Digimon World 3, if only because it's the only one I've logged significant time on.
Favorite Action RPG: Ys: Oath in Felghana(and I'd say Ys for favorite ARPG Franchise except Oath is the only one I've played for more than a few minutes).
Favorite Strategy RPG Franchise: Disgaea and not sure which out of the 3 main series entries I've played is my favorite.
Favorite stand-alone SRPG: Jeanne D'arc
Favorite RPG where you don't play the hero: Harvest Moon for the SNES.

aw i'm sorry :c I just wasn't paying attention, oops
3D: Favorite platformer as a series is Ratchet and Clank. My favorite individually is probably still Banjo-Tooie, one the few platformers on the N64 that is still remotely enjoyable
2D: Kirby's Dreamland series, particularly 3 or Tomba!

Re: Favourite game from:
2D platformers: I'm having a really hard time deciding between Sonic CD, Sonic Advance 3, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. SMB3 and S3&K are also worthy of consideration. I can't really pick between the Sonics, but right now I'm feeling Sonic CD is the best for traditional linear gameplay and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is the best for Metriodvania-style open exploration.
3D platformers: Epic Mickey is a strong contender, but I'll say Sonic Colors; even though I didn't find the game quite as addictive as Epic Mickey, Colors definitely had more polished controls, not to mention way bigger stages.

Re: Favourite game from:
2-D, it's probably a toss-up between Super Mario All-Stars Plus, Donkey Kong Country 3, and Sonic Mega Collection.
For 3-D, I'd say it's a toss-up between the original Spyro, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario 64, and Jak and Daxter.
Also, given it's heavier focus on combat rather than actual platforming, I'm tempted to call Kirby a side-scrolling beat-'em-up rather than a platformer.

The Eternal Struggle.
A bunch of other games are really close though.

This is tough...I guess 2D Sonic, pretty much any Mario, and I'm not quite sure wether the Chibi-robo series counts or not.
Fedoras and umbrellas will always stand beside me!

Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
I have absolutely no intention of playing any other FPS. Because they always go crazy with blood.

Re: Favourite game from:
My memory is failing me, but its either the rhythm mini-game that was part of Super Contests in Pokemon DPPT or whatever replaced contests in BW. Don't think I've ever played a full-fledged rhythm game.
