Small New 3ds Coming to America
Did anyone else see that they're finally bringing the smaller New 3ds to America?

WONDERFUL.
Too late for me now since the New 3DS XL already came out on MY BIRTHDAY.
Grumble, mutter, grumble.

^Exchanging is a thing you know.
Anyways, I wouldn't care even if I could see as i'd rather have an XL anyways.

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
I have a bunch of downloaded games, and you can't just put your SD card in another 3DS.
And if that wasn't a problem, then I'd have to pay for the regular sized one myself, even if I did get money back giving my old one to Game Stop.
And I don't have a job.
EDIT: Apparently, the Small New 3DS is exclusive to the bundle with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.
It's also only white. Maybe they'll release them outside of the bundle later.

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
I still have my old 3ds and the buttons died within the week Smash 4 3ds came out so I might buy the bundle, or if they do release it on its own I'll buy it. My favorite thing about the smaller one is the custom plates and I don't have big hands so holding an XL is really awkward for me.

I already got an xl and I don't care enough to swap out because I like the larger screen especially for things like xenoblade. Its still great and all though, I think saying its too big for your hands is a weird thing to say because its the same as a controller really and that's usually fine. Like the gamepad

It's really weird changing sizes though. Using the XL for a while also makes it feel strange using the other models.
It also doesn't fit in your pocket anymore, which is lame.

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
^If things aren't fitting in your pockets, I'd say it's time to invest in clothing with bigger pockets or time to start carrying a purse/tote/messenger bag/etc. to hold the things your tiny pockets can't.
Also, you really can't compare controllers and handheld gaming devices. Most controllers have "fits in the hand and is easy to grip" as a design criteria whereas most handhelds have "fits in the pocket of a bag and doesn't have pointy bits" as a design criteria, leading to very different ergonomics. Granted, even with controllers, I tend to prefer the ones with larger grips and more heft, but even the smaller, lighter controllers tend to be easier to hold with big hands than the smaller handhelds. The one thing I didn't like about my original 3DS was how tiny it was compared to my DS Classic(bought refubrished to avoid the DS Lite) and the main reason I never got a 3DS XL is that by the time I could justify upgrading, my vision had started failing.

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
Well I'm happy to hear that it's finally being released in North America (especially considering that I ranted about this not long after the XL came out), now people here at least have a choice. Though there's no way I'm buying it for $200 bundled with a game that I may have absolutely no interest in playing at the moment, so I'm gonna wait for a general release, which will hopefully be before Christmas.

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
It's nice that we're finally getting the option, though it seems a bit late. Everyone I know with any interest whatsoever in New 3DS has already gotten the XL, and I can't see many people getting the New Small if they already got the New XL. Plus, I can't help but worry that because the 3DS has been out for so long now, people will be holding off on getting any new systems at this point and just wait for the next one. But then again, what do I know? I thought the New 3DS XL would sell horribly >.<

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
That New 3DS XL is pretty nifty. I don't use mine as much as I'd like, but it's still a definite improvement over the smaller 3DS consoles. Seems kinda weird they're bringing in smaller systems after releasing a bigger one, seeing as how it's probably harder to adjust to smaller consoles after using bigger ones. Plus, nobody is going to want to go through the hassle that is setting up your 3DS and moving your account onto the new one.
It'll probably sell well I'm guessing, but I guess I'll have a hard time understanding why. It's really only useful to the people who haven't gone from 3DS -> New 3DS already or people who want to waste money for a smaller console with a smaller screen and one new game.

^Yeah, I'm one of the people that haven't moved to the New 3ds family yet. I've always liked the smaller one more for some reason. I think its those removable plates that go me hooked on wanting one xD

Re: Small New 3ds Coming to America
I really wanted that bundle actually, its adorable and I really wanted a new 3DS of the smaller size.
But then I got HHD and it came with an amiibo reader, so I don't really need a new one, plus I'm kinda attached to my old one.
I have tiny hands, and the XLs are too big for me.
