For what it is, Rocket League is a really fun game to play with friends and whatnot.

It personally just wasn't my thing though. Maybe something to play when I'm bored, but nothing I look forward to playing.

Never actually got a chance to play Rocket League before, and I gotta say, the controls are awesome. They really remind me of the tight but at the same time tanky controls of the 1990-2000 playstation car/rc mayhem games. It feels really good. It also runs really well - high everything and i can barely feel any heat on my laptop.

I thought everyone owned this game already. Almost like it was mandatory. You have a Steam account? You have this game. Doesn't seem to apply here though.

Regardless, gameplay is pretty good. Nothing that really sucked me in, I think I've played about half a dozen hours since I bought it months ago. I mainly play it for local multiplayer. Online is pretty bad and the CPU players are terrible. Performance is fantastic though, even with everything maxed out I get 60fps with no issues.

i got rocket league around the same time as the free weekend, although a friend bought it for me, and i owe him £8.99 now :/
