Oh no, not again! ..Another...FNAF?!
I haven't seen very many people mention this anywhere, but... it seems Scott Cawthon is at it again.
When will it end? Probably never, FNAF is such a cash cow. :p
I personally don't really care about FNAF anymore, however I do like the animatronic shown here. It reminds me of a old tin toy, even with a opening above the mouth and below the nose. You can see part of the endoskeleton in it.

I never liked or cared for or cared about FNaF. I tried it but really didn't like it. It just bored me. And I really hate bandwagon games.
But the biggest problem I have with it is exactly what you said, it's a cash cow. And I think that's pathetic. I value artistic integrity over almost everything, and the fact that 2 years later there's 5 games and a spinoff just shows that he doesn't really care about the art, it's just the money. Even the CoD games somehow manage to retain more artistic integrity, which astounds me.
Like the most recent bandwagon game was Undertale, and I don't like that, but at least it's creator seems to actually have artistic integrity, so I can respect Toby Fox. I cannot respect Scott Cawthon

^ I feel like I had respect for scott at a point. Mostly early on where there was a fair amount of attention to detail with lore and story
But yes, it's become such a cash cow that there's no value to the series at all. 2 Years later we got a book, 5 games, a movie in the works, and now another game. When will it end? When will audiences move on and realize there's nothing more to get from this series?

No, we aren't.

I doubt this is about anything relating to "artistic integrity" - the games aren't exactly hard for him to develop, as has been proven with how frequently he can pump him out. Also, the "world" he's created with his games isn't exactly one that's very unique or inspiring - "ok, imagine Chuck E. Cheeses, but the automatons are evil and want to kill you!". Not exactly Mario levels of brand recognition, so I doubt he's too worried about his artistic integrity as it relates to the games. The games make money and are easy to produce. He makes games and shovels the money in. He can probably be set for life after another game or two, and that's in 2 years of mainstream notoriety.

Re: Oh no, not again! ..Another...FNAF?!
Hardly anything ever reaches Mario levels of brand recognition, but FNAF is pretty damn recognizable, in part due to the crappy 3D art style that reminds me of point-and-click games from the 90s.Nova! wrote:Not exactly Mario levels of brand recognition,
Hell, Wal-Mart is selling the plushies now, and every one i've walked into so far was completely sold out of them. So I'm not surprised he's "doing it for the money". I thought that was kinda obvious the second the first game sold more copies than most AAA titles sell.
Oh, also, they're starting to sell FNAF Mymojis now. If you don't know what those are, look them up and be amazed at the cancer.
Anyhow, I have a problem with this game, not because he's making it, but because he promised everyone to fix FNAF world. Has he just put that game on the backburner, or what?
Also, I think it's interesting to note that the last main game came out over a year ago. This game might actually be done really well, considering he hasn't spent just 2 months making it.

This series in brief: "There never was just one."
Well. He's certainly not lying with that tagline.

Re: Oh no, not again! ..Another...FNAF?!
i think fnaf successfully takes the campy supernatural slasher craze from the 80s-90s, runs it through a rl stine's fear street or goosebumps filter, and makes a series of easy to grasp microgames with a middle school depth plot and this formula is successful whether it's goosebumps, paranormal activity, child's play, leprechaun, scary stories to tell your ten year old in the dark because sharing clips of courage the cowardly dog wasn't nearly vanilla and irritating enough or whatever else
i think it's a cute little repetitious franchise especially if you're a preteen, and it doesn't bother me he keeps making them, though i don't play either

Re: Oh no, not again! ..Another...FNAF?!
I don't like the main games that much. They have some interesting mechanics, but it doesn't really make the game fun enough to spend 5-7 nights on it. The only game I would actually put above average tier is the second one. The only thing I really like about the franchise as a whole is it's characters (which is why I was actually kind of excited for FNAF World). I'm also pretty impressed with how much effort it's community puts into fan creations when they aren't being more cancerous than me on a meme frenzy. The fanimations and fan games can actually be pretty fun as long as they weren't thrown together in five seconds like a majority of them are. Five Nights at ****boy's definitely takes take the cake for me though, it's everything FNAF World was and more.
Also, the fan music is amazing. Seriously, just look up "We Don't Bite" or "Survive the Night" for example. Heck, even "Break My Mind" makes an excellent nightcore (but the ones on Youtube suck, so I recommend just using an audio-editing software and doing it yourself).

I like to think that your fans probably will accept that if you kept making FNAFB's like FNAF makes...fnaf, they'd probably ask you to stop too.

There are already like, 500 FNAF games/FNAFclones. Why would there ever need to be more? The FNAF market is oversaturated and stale.

That aside, I remember when the first Five Night's was around and everyone loved it. It's just incredible at this point, I do miss those days with all the things hidden around. I don't blame Scott for doing what he did, but I wish he'd left it at 1. There never HAD to be more than 1. =w=

tbh i like fnaf. its pretty mediocre and the recent games dont really intrigue me but i liked 1 and 2. i'm excited to see whats new about this "sister" location but i think it'll be something i'll forget about and be like, "oh yeah, fnaf, lets spend one whole night looking at whats new" when the time comes for it..

Bumping this up as the website was updated with a new image (my image on the first post updated).
Also, voice acting was confirmed for the game.
The character shown is apparently named Baby, and she is heard in FNAF World, Update 2.
