Animal behavior

Post by Sonicman »

I have a few questions about the animal behaviors chao will inherit.
1. Do they need to be an adult for the behavior to show?
2. Does a chao have to currently have the animal part for it to show?
3. Does the chao have to have all the animal parts to show?

I think thats it for now if I have any more questions I'll post them here.

1. I do not believe so, but it's a random event, so with time it'll show up. Usually by this time they'll be adults but I remember seeing a baby doing the gorilla chest pound.
2. no, I think. I may be wrong.
3. no, but it might be more common with all parts of one animal.

Some of these might be wrong as it's been YEARS since I've picked up SA2B
This is for SA2B, correct? Otherwise there might be different things going on.

1. No. To elaborate: Chao have have hidden stats for things like hunger, need to sleep, boredom, energy etc.
From memory, high boredom and high energy makes your chao want to move around in the garden, and high boredom/low energy makes your chao want to perform actions they have access to (if any). Unfortunately if you're looking for a particular animal action you're not gonna have a good time if you've given a multitude of different animals to your chao.
2. No
