Aurora Icefield's Bark is worse than it's bite.
Vector wears headphones all the time, but he never listens to One Direction, he claims their music doesn't have enough magnitude.

Thank you for being to this topic what Elise was to Sonic during the S2k6 Finale(minus any squick factor). I actually have something to contribute this time around.

Accuse Blaze of being an Ice Queen and you're likely to get burned.
Bark is easily the coolest character who has yet to get a modern makeover if not in the entire franchise.
Fang doesn't like Rouge because she has more of a nack for his specialty.
The reason we haven't met Cream's father is that Mr. Rabbit is well aware Vector is green with envy and doesn't want to be eaten by a croc.
Glitches make Knuckles blue.
Charmy would like to pollinate Cosmo.
Charmy would like to take Honey back to his hive.
Honey is the sweetest character in the franchise.
Cosmo is horrified by moral vegetarians.
Antoine thinks any version of Tails that falls for Cream has good taste.
The real reason Bunnie married Antoine is that she was tired of her last name making her a living pun.
All of Marine's ex-boyfriends end up lost at sea.
Nack originally used the alias of Itachi for his mercenary work, but grew tired of westerners not getting the pun.
Vanilla is thinking of adopting Honey to give Cream a big sister figure.
Eggman stays in shape by doing sumo whenever he's not plotting world domination. Big the Cat is his favorite sparring partner.
Manic the hedgehog is a case study for a mental condition some have dubbed monopolar disorder.
Sonic doesn't like Pokemon because of how week moves like supersonic, sonicboom, quick attack, and swift are. Eggman likes Pokemon for the same reasons.

The two constantly compete against each other anonymously, and have no idea that their biggest rival in Pokemon is also their real world enemy.

the Egg-themed half of Eggman's team makes sense to me, and I guess Magnezone is the closest thing to a rebotic pokemon, but I'm not getting the choice of Blaziken and Electrivire.

As for tails, the foxes are obvious(and I suppose Vaporeon is fox-like enough), and Porygon-Z fits with him being the SegaSonic verse's resident good super scientist, and I guess Bellossom reminds him of Cosmo, but Altaria seem like a really left-feild choice.

Also, not really a pun, but is it me, or does Shaymin look like the offspring of Sonic and Cosmo?

^Blaziken is a giant chicken, which is appropriate to an Egg-themed team and the only logical starter Pokemon for Eggman. Electivire LOOKS like Eggman, and is actually the first Pokemon I thought of when imagining what Pokemon he would use.
Tails' logical starter Pokemon is of course Delphox, Vaporeon is a good Eeveelution for the team's balance; Altaria is a blue Flying-type, Tails' Tornado 2 & 3 are blue, as is the Blue Typhoon and the flight-capable Sea Fox submarine, so it's the kind of Pokemon Tails would want to have.
The rest are pretty straightforward as you point out.

Wouldn't Shaymin's Sky Forme suggest Tails as the parent? More of a generic mammal than especially hedgehog-like.

Anyways, more puns:

When asked about his Super form, Knuckles just said, "Real Men wear pink."
When asked if he's okay after wiping out against Perfect Chaos, Super Sonic said, "I'm Golden!"
Tails's super form is for the birds.
Can't think of even a lame pun for Super Shadow.
Poor math students have a hard time telling Vector and Ray apart.
Cosmo thinks people are insulting her intelligence whenever they mistake her for a fairy.

Ever since Shadow first addressed him as 'The Doctor', Eggman has been having trouble with Daleks trying to kill him.
The price of gold plummeted in the United Federation after the infinite Ring button was discovered.
Jet is called The Legendary Wind Master in Sonic Riders... but the title should have gone to Dr. Eggman for his attack method in the game.
Tails, Knuckles, and Amy walked into a bar. Sonic, being Sonic, RAN into the bar, and sustained a minor concussion.
