God damn I love coffee and anime. This is the single best thing ever.
Re: Coffee
Caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant of the methylxanthine class.[10] It is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive drug, but — unlike many other psychoactive substances — it is legal and unregulated in nearly all parts of the world. There are several known mechanisms of action to explain the effects of caffeine. The most prominent is that it reversibly blocks the action of adenosine on its receptor and consequently prevents the onset of drowsiness induced by adenosine. Caffeine also stimulates certain portions of the autonomic nervous system.

Re: Coffee
I third coffee having a bad taste. Back when I counted myself among the caffeine addicted majority, soda was my preferred delivery mechanism. Nowadays, I don't knowingly consume any caffeine with any regularity, though I can't guarantee I consume no caffeine whatsoever as I've read the stuff is found in a lot of foods where you wouldn't expect it.
I do knowingly consume theobromine from time to time. For those that don't know, theobromine is a cousin of caffeine that serves as the main psychoactive chemical in chocolate, and like caffeine, is as close to unregulated as any psychoactive gets.
But mainly, I like to stick to encouraging my body to produce it's own psychoactive substances.

Re: Coffee
Coffee's great. It's like tea except better. Huge fun of most coffee, though Starbuck's weird flavours are particularly disgusting. Their packaged coffee milks that you find in the little ice machines with 20oz soda bottles also always taste like they went bad when I buy them, so I'm kinda biased. I'm a fan of regular black coffee with maybe a bit of cream thrown in to give it a more milky texture, iced coffee and milk with a bit of sugar (never more than 2 packs), even the full on falvoured iced coffee frappe crap, it's all really good.

Unless you're referring to Iced Tea in which your opinion is completely valid.

Re: Coffee
Anyone who likes tea (aside from Iced Tea) is either an anthro spider or British. There is no other possible explanation.

Re: Coffee
He said it's better than tea. Which doesn't necessarily mean he likes tea.
And I like tea... Because it's not coffee.

Re: Coffee
i enjoy coffee a lot, from black to topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, from warm to iced (i would say hot but for whatever reason my mouth is really sensitive to hot liquids and solids idk it sucks and i'm also a big soup person so i have to be really careful when eating it rip)
i really enjoy concentrated coldbrew, bold coffee is my fav
i don't particularly prefer black coffee as bitterness isn't appealing to me but i can swallow it down without an issue but it's definitely not for everybody. i do enjoy iced black coffee though, as the cold counteracts the bitter flavor for me. it's not like it makes it taste sweeter but just, less bitter?? idk it's weird but i like it, and iced coffee is refreshing in general regardless of how sweet the coffee is

Re: Coffee
I find Puffle's comment that only demons could hate coffee funny as someone once famously said of good coffee:
"Hot as Hell, Dark as the Devil, sweet as a kiss."
*One quick google search later.* Okay, apparently there are many variants of that quote, that might not be the original wording, and I can't seem to find the originator. Other descriptions include strong as death, pure as an angel, black as the devil, and sweet as love. I'm pretty sure most of these fall from the lips of people who like their coffee black.
While I can't say I understand Southerners' obsession with Iced Tea despite being from the south myself(I preferred my cold drinks not watered down thank you very much), I don't get Puffle's claim that only British like non-iced tea. First of all, I'm pretty sure "Tea is serious business" is more an English thing than a general British thing(or at least, I've never heard of a scot obsess over tea), and second, I'm pretty sure the Japanese and Chinese take their tea at least as seriously as the English, if not more so. I've never heard of anything on par with Japanese Tea Ceremony in western culture at the very least.
